Dezhou new lake is located in the center of Dezhou City, mainly including the city center square and new lake, covering an area of more than 130 hectares. The city center square is divided into leisure square, cultural square and Sports Square. Xinhu district is an open Lakeside Park, covering a total area of 28 hectares. It is divided into East Lake, middle lake, West Lake and south lake districts. Xinhu scenic spot is located in the center of Dezhou City, covering an area of 2100 mu, including 600 mu of water surface. It is a natural pool at the beginning. After several excavation and renovation, it has formed a "new Lake". After the successive construction from 1998 to 2003, a beautiful scenic line of Dezhou City, Xinhu scenic spot, has been formed.

From planning and design to construction, the scenic spot actively implements the concept of "people-oriented", and always focuses on the theme of "human, city, ecology and culture", realizing the harmonious coexistence of human and nature, and the coordinated development of urban construction, environment and economy.

The whole scenic area consists of six squares, five lakes and a large playground. The central square has three areas: leisure, culture and sports. The overpass connects the square with the water surface of the new lake. The theme sculpture "century wind" of century square is 21 meters high, symbolizing Dezhou's entering the 21st century.
