brief introduction
The tomb of Qin general Mengtian is located on the Bank of Dali River in the west of Suide County, Shaanxi Province. The tomb is shaped like a steamed bun. According to the records of suidezhou, the tomb is more than 50 meters high. Later, due to a long history, wind and rain erosion and construction and other factors, the tombs became irregular shape. In 1984, the relevant departments carried out archaeological drilling and cleared out the rammed earth layer of the Qin Dynasty. The original Qing Dynasty stone steles in Mengtian tomb are connected in two ways (one of which is broken in two). The height of the stele is 1.42 meters. It was erected by Zhang Yuanlin, the governor of the state during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. It is engraved with the inscription "Tomb of Qin general Mengtian" and written by Jiang Shisong, the governor of the state. According to historical records, after the unification of China, Qin sent Meng Tian with 300000 troops to assist the Soviet Union to garrison Shangjun, build straight roads, build the Great Wall, and chase Xiongnu. His military achievements are outstanding and are well-known in history. After Meng Tian's hateful death, all the soldiers buried his body on the Bank of Dali River in the west of Suide city. Tens of millions of soldiers used their war robes to cover the earth and made a tomb like a hill. After that, the soldiers of Mengtian and the people of Shangjun made many writing brushes by imitating the brush they used. Since then, the production and use of brush gradually spread throughout the country. Yan binggeng, a man of Qing Dynasty, once wrote a poem: "the spring grass leaves the tomb road and invades it. It's a thousand years since it was buried. It's hard to write a lonely minister's heart with thousands of pens
Character related
It is said that one day Mengtian went out hunting in his spare time. When he saw a fox and a weasel escaping from the ancient temple, he shot them with a bow and arrow. The fox and the weasel saw that there was no place for them to escape, so they went down to beg for mercy and burst into tears. Seeing this, Meng Tian felt compassion. He took back his bow and arrow and signaled the bodyguard to let him escape. A few days later, Meng Tian accepted the imperial edict of the first emperor, made Hu Hai his youngest son the crown prince, denounced Fu Su and many other charges, and gave them to commit suicide. Meng Tian knew that he was a traitor in the imperial court, who killed himself and Fu Su. He was not only grieved for being trapped, but also grieved for the instability of the Qin Dynasty. In his meditation, he fell into a dream and saw two girls kneeling in front of him and saying, "I'm the fox and weasel that were released during the general's hunting. Today, when the first emperor died, Hu Hai, Li Si and Zhao Gao conspired to usurp the throne. It was falsely said that the former Emperor's imperial edict granted the death of the general and Fu Su. We all know that the general is loyal, brave and kind. He will repay the king's kindness with his death, so we dare not ask for it. Only because of the general's living grace, but can't save the general in danger, would like to die After that, they died together, showing their original shape. It turned out that they were foxes and wolves that had been hunted and released recently. Before Meng Tian could save him, he woke up and saw a fox and a wolf lying dead. He couldn't help but feel deeply and shed tears.
Meng Tian got the news that his son Fu Su had committed suicide and decided to repay him with his death. However, he was still thinking of the Qin family and wanted to write a letter before he was loyal, admonishing Hu hai to avoid cheating and cherishing the great cause of Qin Shihuang's reunification. I want to write the memorial, but I have no soldiers or swords around me, only the dead foxes and wolves. I can't help touching the fox and wolf. I feel that the fox's tail is soft and tough. As soon as his heart moved, he pulled down a handful of foxtail hair, tied it to a wooden pole, dipped it in saliva, and made a painting on the ground, showing his strokes. Then he tore off the sleeve of the robe, bit his fingers, dipped in enthusiasm, and pained himself. He hastened to write a memorial and killed himself.
