Feng huanque is located in zhaojiaping, beituxi, Qu county, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province.

According to the records of Hanshu, Feng Huan was born in the time of emperor an in the Eastern Han Dynasty. He was the governor of Youzhou. In the first year of Yanguang (A.D. 121), he was falsely sentenced to prison. Although the matter was identified, he died. In prison, Emperor an "gave him 100000 yuan and took his son as a doctor."

Historical evolution

At present, Feng huanque is the only one left in the East, while zique has been abandoned. The inscription on the front of the que body is "Taotie", with the inscription of "Shendao of Feng Shijun, the governor of Youzhou, Henan jingling, the Minister of history of the ancient Shang Dynasty." the que was built about the first year of Jianguang or one year after that.

Feng huanque has a steady and simple style, exquisite and concise carving, vivid and elegant modeling, and unique style. It shows the superb architectural art of Han Dynasty and is a treasure in the history of Chinese architectural art.

In March 1961, the State Council approved Feng huanque as the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

Cultural relic structure

The que is a double body, one in the East and one in the West. With a height of 4.38 meters, it is composed of six parts: que base, que body, Fangzi layer, Jieshi layer, Dougong layer and que top. It is a complete imitation wood structure building.

The body of the que is made of green sand and stone. It is made of three layers of big stones: one layer is carved with vertical and horizontal imitators; the second layer is made of scale stone, which is thin and flat on all sides. It is covered with the pattern of relief square pattern. The three layers of stones are inclined outward in an inverted trapezoid shape, with curved arches on both sides, which is full of strong decorative beauty. On the arched eye wall, there is a green dragon on the front and a Xuanwu on the back, with exquisite carving and skillful knife technique.

Top imitation double eaves, veranda style, simple tile, tile grass. There is an inscription on the que: "it is the way of Feng Shijun, the governor of Youzhou in Yuzhou, who was appointed by the imperial Minister of Henan Province.".

Quxian county is located in the east of Sichuan Province, upstream of the Qujiang River. On the road from the county seat to Yanfeng, there are six Han que, which is the largest place in China. Some of the que are engraved with rosefinch and green dragon, and some are engraved with figures, which are rare in other places.

Que is a pair of symmetrical buildings built in front of the ancient architectural community. Que is not only the symbol of the prominent position of the building owner, but also has the function of decorating the gate. The construction of the que has a history of more than 3000 years in China. At present, there are only more than 20 places left, while there are six or seven in Quxian County, accounting for one fourth of the total number of Han Que in China. Therefore, Quxian county is known as the "hometown of Han Que".

Han que is the general name of the stone que built from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Western Jin Dynasty.

The most famous ones in Quxian county are fenghuanque and Shenfu junque, which are the national key protected cultural relics announced by the state in the early days. Feng huanque is located in zhaojiaping, Quxian County, Sichuan Province, about 29 kilometers away from the county. Feng Huan was born in the reign of emperor an of the Eastern Han Dynasty. He was once the governor of Youzhou. In 121 (the first year of Yanguang of the Eastern Han Dynasty), he was framed and put into prison. Fenghuanque was built in about 121, with exquisite carving and beautiful shape.
