brief introduction
The temple is located in the west of Xianfu temple. According to song Jiatai's Wu Xingzhi, in the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhao Shuchen, the governor of Shaoxing in 1148, rebuilt the temple. In the first month of the second year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1369), the imperial court "granted the linggong of Huzhou City God". Ming Chenghua "Huzhou Fu Zhi" carries Huzhou's Town God's Temple in two years. In the first year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1573), Laogong God, the God of Huzhou Fucheng, was first worshipped, and Laogong temple was specially built in the original temple, so it is commonly known as "temple in Temple". Laogong, the magistrate of Huzhou in the eighth to twelfth year of Chenghua (1472-1476) of the Ming Dynasty, was a member of Tingxi Dehua. He was a Jinshi in the fifth year of Jingtai (1454). He worked in Renxing University, chongnongsang, Qing bandits and Xiufu Zhi. According to the stele of Laogong temple, the city god of Huzhou Prefecture, Lao (ditto) died in Huzhou on June 12, the 12th year of Weihua. That day, "suddenly Mu opened the hall, said goodbye to the literati and passed away without illness." One hundred years after his death, he was honored as the city god of Zhoufu.
present situation
"Laogong Temple" was built in the Fu Temple, and a monument was erected in June of the same year. The temple was once occupied by street factories, and the pavilions around it are dilapidated. The only cultural relic left is the stone structure well Pavilion in front of the temple, which was built in October 1881. There is a couplet in the pavilion column: "the best way to stand up to the real court is to have a bright moon and clear clouds, and to learn from the treasure land that is the source of water without waves." The well water is clear. There is also a Temple Monument in the 57th year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong.
