Weifang people's Park is located on the West Bank of Bailang River in Weifang City, Shandong Province, in the middle of Qingnian Road. It is connected with Jiankang West Street and Minsheng West Street in North and south. It is a comprehensive park integrating recreation, viewing and rest. Covering an area of about 140 mu, it is a landmark of Weifang City.

Development history

Weifang people's Park in Shandong Province was built in 1951. It was originally a closed municipal park with ornamental animals and plants. In order to meet the requirements of urban development and further improve the quality of people's cultural life, the municipal Party committee and municipal government decided to transform the people's Park in 2004. Based on the principle of using the original ecological resources, using modern gardening techniques, highlighting the ecology and human nature, highlighting the historical and cultural heritage of Weifang, and highlighting the harmony and integration of human and nature, the reconstruction project has been basically completed from September 2004 to May 2005, with the exception of two gardens in the garden (Chinese garden and Western Garden) not yet completed, and was put into trial operation on June 1, 2005 Garden.

Because the people's Park was built early, the South Gate rockery has been a pile of loess and weeds since liberation. In 1992, it invested 120000 yuan to build a towering stone mountain with high main peak, side peaks running towards each other, high and low scattered and magnificent, which is refreshing and adds a large landscape to the park. In recent years, the people's Park insists on self-reliance, hard work, in improving the three benefits, from the park management to benefit, has received obvious results. The annual income increased from more than 100000 yuan in the 1980s to 1.8 million yuan. Main attractions

The reconstructed people's Park covers an area of 13 hectares, which is divided into three entrances and exits (south entrance, north entrance and west entrance), two landscape belts (stream landscape belt and riverside landscape belt) and two parks in the park (Chinese style garden and Western style garden), with a total of 12 scenic spots, including Diecui, Tianqu garden, Mingxin Island, zizizhou, Fenglin, Liusha, murongtai, Yuncheng, tingxiangwu Spring scenic spot, Guizhen garden, friendship garden, etc. It is an open municipal park with multiple functions such as leisure, entertainment, fitness and viewing.

The park covers an area of 140 Mu and is divided into four areas. The children's entertainment area is a world for young people and children. In order to meet the needs of tourists of different ages, the park has newly installed large-scale amusement facilities such as bumper cars, crazy mice, elevated airplanes, rolling pearls, helicopters, dragon boat on water, red apple amusement machine, cold car, monkey pull car, monkey lift sedan chair, coffee cup amusement machine, etc. The animal exhibition area covers an area of 5633.61 square meters, with more than 30 species and 400 animals. The animal area is a popular science park for wild animals. The rest area is located on the north side of the park's west gate. There are many flowers in the garden all year round. Visitors here, as if in a "paradise", it is refreshing. Water entertainment area is a multi-functional water entertainment place with an investment of 4.5 million yuan in 1993. It covers an area of 11628 square meters. There are standard swimming pool, multi-functional activity area, artificial wave making, thrilling sling, adult and children's slide and other activities.
