Alsophila canyons

--The Alsophila spinulosa gorge is named for the fact that there are more than 50000 Alsophila spinulosa growing in the valley. When you take the plan of the core reserve of the gorge and show it in the east-west direction, you will find that the gorge looks like a dinosaur running forward.

--There are two Alsophila spinulosa trees in the canyon. The trunk is 11 meters high and the diameter at breast height is about 80 cm. Some Alsophila spinulosa trees grow into plates, which are first found in China.

--The scenic spot has not been fully developed, so it's better to bring your own dry food when you go to visit. In addition, there are few vehicles around the scenic area, so it's better to negotiate with the driver when you charter a car up the mountain, and you can pick it up in the afternoon.

Alsophila canyons

Located in Xiba Town, Wutongqiao District, the valley is close to Leshan Giant Buddha in the north and Emei fairy mountain in the West. It is less than 20 kilometers away from Leshan City. It takes only half an hour by car. It is named for the continuous growth of more than 50000 Alsophila trees in the valley. Alsophila spinulosa is the same generation of dinosaurs, which has a history of 200 million years. It is a first-class national protected plant, known as the "panda of the plant kingdom". Walking into the canyons of Alsophila spinulosa, you can see tens of thousands of Alsophila spinulosa trees holding up overlapping green umbrellas, which make the canyons deep and charming. The air in the valley is fresh, the climate is cool, the cliff is majestic, and the stream is murmuring, which makes people relaxed and happy. There are many mysterious natural and cultural phenomena in the valley.

300 million years ago, in today's Wutongqiao Xiba Town, there were high mountains, dense forests, suitable climate, exotic flowers and plants everywhere, and ancient trees towering over the sun. The spring water is murmuring, and the ferns are luxuriant. Among them are some ancient plants.

Alsophila spinulosa, the "residents" of that era, is tall, simple, grand and magnificent, reflecting the tenacious vitality; the young is graceful and graceful, with great charm.

After a long geological period, to the Jurassic period of 150 million years ago, the earth had a warm climate, abundant rainfall, humid air, fertile land, and some new plants appeared; more animals began to breed, and in the fierce competition of "natural selection, survival of the fittest", the ruler dinosaurs gradually appeared.

This era is called "dinosaur era".

Dinosaurs are divided into carnivorous and herbivorous groups.

Alsophila spinulosa is one of the main food of herbivorous dinosaurs. With the extinction of dinosaurs, hundreds of millions of species have become fossils and disappeared.

Only Alsophila spinulosa survives tenaciously. Miraculously, it has survived the cold glacial period and the drastic crustal movement. After innumerable droughts and floods, it has become a silent "living fossil". Alsophila canyons look like dinosaurs

My friend, when you hold the plane diagram of Xiba Alsophila canyons (the core reserve) and show it facing east and West, you will find that this canyon looks like a dinosaur running forward.

The location of king and queen of Alsophila spinulosa is the head and eyes of the dinosaur, whistling to the sky; four Chagou shaped like the front and rear limbs of the dinosaur, and the forelimbs soared up in the air; Jiudaoguai is the back tooth of the dinosaur; Shanmen luoyintuo, lingzhi cliff, and sandaoui are the tail of the dinosaur, which is high and vivid; the path in the valley is like the blood of the dinosaur.

Perhaps this is another mystery left to us by nature, that is, the mystery of dinosaurs and Alsophila canyons.

Various shapes

It is 6000 meters long, 30-150 meters deep and 2-300 meters wide. It is connected with the mountains on both sides and covers an area of 1 square kilometer. Looking down from a high place, the mountains on both sides of the canyon are very much like a picture of Tai Chi. The canyon is the dividing line, and the Xinchun village group 1 and Xiangrong village group 2 at the head and tail of the canyon are just two eyes of the picture of Tai Chi.

Tianshu stele

On the half cliff of the valley in group 1 of Xinchun village, there is a huge stone shaped like a tomb, known as "sarcophagus", which is about 7 meters long and 3 meters wide.

On the front of the sarcophagus is a stone tablet, about 2 meters wide and 1? 3 meters high, which is neatly engraved with more than a dozen words, which no one can read. The local people call it "heavenly script".

According to folklore, as long as all the words on the stone tablet can be recognized, "sarcophagus" will explode by itself, showing a large number of gold and silver treasures.

Although this theory is not credible, some local people tried to use explosives to blow up the sarcophagus, but failed to do so.

Lingzhi cliff

On one side of the head of the canyon, there is a strange cliff, about 1000 meters wide and 100 meters high, gray white, like a wall steeply standing in the canyon. In the center of the cliff, there is a stone cave about 1? 1 m square.

Climb up the vines hanging down the cliff to enter the cave. The cave is 4? 5 meters deep, 2 meters high and 3 meters wide. It is very dry and clean, with traces of stone benches and tables.

Some people saw two glossy ganoderma lucidum on the cliff on both sides of the cave entrance on the night of storm and thunder, so this section of the cliff is called "glossy ganoderma lucidum cliff".

When I visited the valley, I saw that the Alsophila spinulosa on one side of Lingzhi cliff grew very luxuriant, while the Alsophila spinulosa on the other side did not grow.

There is "luoyintuo" at the mouth of the canyon where Lingzhi cliff is located. Every time before the heavy rain comes, white fog rises and a rainbow rises under the sunlight.

It is said that the whole canyon has the highest oxygen content and negative ion content.

Han Tombs

In the fifth group of Xiangrong village at the end of the gorge, there are connected cliff tombs, of which more than 230 have been found. According to the expert identification of Leshan Municipal Bureau of cultural administration, it belongs to the cliff Tomb of the Eastern Han Dynasty, and the remains of cultural relics can be seen everywhere. In such a remote place, there are many cliff tombs in the Eastern Han Dynasty. It's really a mystery that can't be explained.

The ancient cliff occupies

Deep in the canyon, along a section of concave rock cavity, there is a 200 meter long and 2? 5 meter high stone wall, which is made of more than 2000 cubic meters of stones. The area enclosed by the stone wall is about 50 square meters, forming a house with the vestige of a stove. It is also a mystery who built this house in the deep valley, when and why.

Large scale, in the valley area of about 1350 mu, there are more than 50000 Alsophila spinulosa population, which is rare.

There are many other attractions of Alsophila canyons. There are more than 100 kinds of butterflies, rare plants and precious medicinal materials here, which can still be seen now. It is said that a few years ago, someone saw the remains of a lizard shaped monster about 1 meter long, which was later purchased by a scientific research unit in Chengdu.

In addition, the ancient plank road and arrow stone in the canyon remind people of the story of Zhuge Liang's seven capture of Meng Huo. All of these add a charming cultural color to the Alsophila canyons.
