Fenghuang Pavilion, also known as xunlai Pavilion, is located in pugualing, Jinglian village, Qiaotou town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. brief introduction
"Xining Fu Xinzhi" records: "when you climb to the top of the mountain, you can see the mountains and clouds. Phoenix Pavilion is majestic and magnificent, pavilion back to the column. Looking back around the fence, you can have a panoramic view of Xining. "
characteristic
Pavilion length and width are 4 meters, 7 meters high, wood and stone structure, double double double into. The front hall is supported by four red stone pillars. The eaves are set at four corners on the tile surface. On the top of the mountain, dragon and phoenix flowers and plants are carved on four sides. On the front of the eaves, the characters "Fu Lu Shou Quan" are engraved. There are two Golden Phoenix and a gourd on the top of the pavilion. The two phoenix stand facing the gourd. It seems that they want to fly and sing high. As the Golden Phoenix stands with its mouth open, the fumigation wind blows and makes a sweet sound.
Inside the pavilion, there is a gold plaque with the words "xunlai Pavilion" written on it, and the two buildings in front of the plaque are engraved with the words "thousands of generations of heroes". The back hall of the pavilion is a single room, supported by two red stone pillars; the wall in the middle of the pavilion is vividly painted with "jade painting". In front of the painting, there is a divine platform with three red stones and the inscription "King Ching" for people to worship. Outside the pavilion, there are three ancient banyan trees, which are intricately rooted and luxuriant. One of them has a small leaf tree on its branch, which is quite a spectacle.
The pavilion was rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. During the cultural revolution, shuangao and baohulu on the top of the pavilion were demolished. Due to years of disrepair, the pavilion is dilapidated and in danger. With the attention of Dongguan Municipal Bureau of culture, town Party committee, government and Jinglian village committee, leaders and experts from relevant departments at a higher level were invited. After repeated investigation and demonstration, the pavilion was reported to the Department of cultural relics of Guangdong Provincial Department for approval. The repair was carried out in January 2002 and completed in September of the same year. After the Phoenix Pavilion was restored, it attracted many visitors.
The origin of history
It is said that more than 400 years ago, on the Jingbei mountain behind Jinglian village, every morning the birds sang sweetly. The villagers found a pair of Golden Phoenix singing under a big banyan tree in pugualing. When the news came out, the whole village was shocked and came to watch. As a result, the Golden Phoenix circled three times over people's heads and flew away. In order to attract the Phoenix to return, it took the villagers 27 days to build the Phoenix Pavilion for the Phoenix to inhabit. But after the pavilion was built, Phoenix did not fly back. Just then, an old man with white beard (legendary immortal) passed by the pavilion. He told the villagers that because the Phoenix grass had been cut off when the pavilion was built, the Phoenix would not come back. Later, under the guidance of the white bearded immortal, the villagers built a pair of Golden Phoenix on the top of the pavilion. Whenever the wind blows into the mouth of the Phoenix, they will hear the sound of whistling, just like the Phoenix. Although the villagers can no longer see the Phoenix, they can hear it every day. For hundreds of years, the Phoenix has been crowing. Every year on July 28 of the lunar calendar and the eve of the Dragon Boat Festival, people who get married, study or do business all come here to pray for blessings. The Phoenix Pavilion has been burning ever since.
Nanshan, also known as Fenghuang mountain, is located in Xining. There is a pavilion on the mountain called Fenghuang Pavilion. There is a banner on the pavilion, which reads "Hehuang Yinfeng". It is said that there was a phoenix flying on it when it was in Nanliang, so it was named Fenghuang terrace. This is similar to the popular saying that "dragon is in Changning and unicorn is in suiqiang" at that time. However, "Fengtai Liuyun", one of the eight ancient sceneries in Xining, has become one of the most famous sceneries in Xining. The poem Fengtai Liuyun, which chants Fenghuang mountain, is still widely read today: "when Fengtai comes to visit, Fengtai flies high and clouds stay. The Qiang flute can't blow down, and the slender crescent moon hangs on the top of the mountain. "
