Dapanshan National Nature Reserve
Dapanshan National Nature Reserve is located in the middle of Anwen Town, Pan'an County, Zhejiang Province, with a total area of 4558 hectares. Its geographical coordinates are about 28 ° 57 ′ 05 ″~ 29 ° 01 ′ 58 ″ N and 120 ° 28 ′ 05 ″~ 120 ° 33 ′ 40 ″ E. its main peak, Dapanshan, is 1245 meters above sea level. It is a famous mountain in Zhejiang Province and Zushan in eastern Zhejiang Province. It is the birthplace of three main tributaries of Qiantang River, Oujiang River and Lingjiang river.
Dapanshan National Nature Reserve is located in the area of plant diversity protection in Zhejiang Province, which is adjacent to the mountain area of eastern Zhejiang with Kuocang mountain as the center and the hilly area of eastern Zhejiang with Tiantai Mountain as the center. It is a confluence area of North and South plants. The plant species in the area are rich and complex, and the flora has the characteristics of mutual infiltration of warm temperate zone and subtropical zone. Dapanshan National Nature Reserve, with rare and endangered medicinal plants, genuine medicinal materials and their native ecosystem as the main protected objects, is the most important germplasm resource bank of wild or related medicinal plants in eastern China.
In July 2002, Dapanshan Provincial Nature Reserve was approved as a national nature reserve by the State Council.
Historical evolution
On April 20, 1993, the people's Government of Pan'an County declared Dapanshan as a county-level nature reserve.
On December 28, 1994, the people's Government of Jinhua City upgraded Dapan mountain to a municipal nature reserve.
In May 2002, Dapanshan Nature Reserve was approved as a provincial nature reserve by Zhejiang Provincial People's government.
In July 2002, Dapanshan Provincial Nature Reserve was approved as a national nature reserve by the State Council.
On May 23, 2003, the administration of Dapanshan National Nature Reserve was officially listed.

Dapanshan National Nature Reserve is located 10 kilometers southeast of Anwen Town, Pan'an County. It is the junction of Tiantai Mountain, Kuaiji mountain, xianxialing mountain and Kuocang mountain.

The landform of Dapanshan National Nature Reserve is mainly mountainous, complex and diverse. Due to the complex terrain and steep mountains, there are many waterfalls and pools in the area due to the erosion landform structure. The main peak of Dapan mountain is 1245 meters above sea level. It is the center of Dapan mountain, which is the vein of Tiantai Mountain, Kuocang mountain, xianxialing mountain and Siming Mountain.
Climatic characteristics
Dapanshan National Nature Reserve has a subtropical monsoon climate with mild weather and abundant rainfall. The warming in spring is late and the cooling in autumn is early, forming the characteristics of long winter and short autumn. Due to different altitudes, complex terrain, different types of sunshine and heat, different characteristics of four seasons are formed.

Dapan mountain is not only the birthplace of three main tributaries of Qiantang River, Oujiang River and Lingjiang River in Zhejiang Province, but also an important drinking water source protection area. It is surrounded by Hengjin reservoir, Nanjiang reservoir and Bada reservoir in Dongyang, Lishimen reservoir in Tiantai, Lilin reservoir and Beiao reservoir in Xianju, Shimen Reservoir in Xinchang, Zuoku reservoir in Jinyun and Qianming reservoir under construction.
Regional scope
Dapanshan National Nature Reserve covers the main peak of Dapanshan and its surrounding areas. It ranges from xikengkou and niulanggang in the East, to jinzhutou and datianbei forest farm in the south, to yangcaojian and changwujian in the west, and to zhangchengshan and shuanggangjian in the north. The geographical coordinates are: 28 ° 57 ′ 05 ″ - 29 ° 01 ′ 58 ″ n, 120 ° 28 ′ 05 ″ - 120 ° 33 ′ 40 ″ E.
The total area of Dapanshan National Nature Reserve is 4558 hectares, including 1196 hectares of core area, 1114 hectares of buffer area and 2248 hectares of experimental area. The core area is centered on the tip of Dapan mountain. In the East, it starts from the south of dapanlingtou mountain, passes through longyankeng and huangcaoku along the ridge line, and then reaches lixikeng. In the south, it starts from lixikeng along the ridge line to jiutoushihoushan in Panfeng Township, and then reaches Shikeng along the path. In the west, it starts from Shikeng in Anwen Town, passes through chenhuakeng water system, passes through lishuwu, then follows tianlibihoushan to shixiashanwu, and in the north, it starts from shixiashanwu and passes through Wangzhuang in Dapan town Mountain, MIWU, maowu to the south of dapanlingtou.

Dapanshan National Nature Reserve has more than 1000 species of vascular plants, and a large number of rare and endangered plants under state key protection, especially with a large number of rare and endangered medicinal plants and genuine Chinese herbal medicine germplasm resources. There are 1074 species of medicinal plants in Dapanshan nature reserve, belonging to 201 families and 634 genera, accounting for 78.82%, 75.21% and 65.33% of the total number of families, genera and species respectively. Among them, 33 species belong to 28 genera and 22 families of algae lichens, 28 species belong to 23 genera and 16 families of bryophytes, 59 species belong to 42 genera and 29 families of pteridophytes, 15 species belong to 12 genera and 6 families of gymnosperms, 939 species belong to 529 genera and 128 families of angiosperms, accounting for 60.17% of the medicinal plant species in Zhejiang Province and 9.64% in China. Among the medicinal plants in the nature reserve, 240 species are included in the Pharmacopoeia of the people's Republic of China (2010 Edition), and 326 species are included in the Zhejiang provincial standard for processing traditional Chinese medicine (2005 Edition).
In the vegetation regionalization of China, the protection regionalization includes subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest, Eastern (humid) evergreen broad-leaved forest subregion, Zhejiang Fujian Hilly Castanopsis eyrei forest region in the northern subregion of middle subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest region, and eastern Zhejiang hilly Island Castanopsis eyrei forest region. There are 1629 species of vascular plants belonging to 827 genera, 193 families in the reserve, accounting for 81.0% of families, 57.1% of genera and 39.2% of species in Zhejiang Province. Among them, there are a large number of rare and endangered plants. One species of Taxus chinensis var. mairei is the national first-class key protected wild plant, and nine species of fragrant fruit tree, Heptacodium micrantha and Torreya grandis are the national second-class key protected wild plant. There are also a large number of ancient and famous trees in the area, such as 76 ancient pine trees in Huaxi Village, with a height of 9-15 meters and a diameter at breast height of 0.5-0.8 meters; there are old broad-leaved trees in lishuwu, with a tree species of Cyclobalanopsis tenuifolia, Cyclobalanopsis glauca, Liquidambar formosana, Dalbergia, etc., with a height of 12-17 meters and a diameter at breast height of 0.5-1.2 meters; there is a thousand year old Wisteria king in lishuwu. Dapanlingtou ancient Cryptomeria fortunei is more than 700 years old, 24 meters high, 2.22 meters diameter at breast height, and 13 × 15 meters in crown width. Longtankou ancient Liquidambar formosana is more than 800 years old, 20 meters high, 1.38 meters diameter at breast height, and 15 × 18 meters in crown width. It is 19 meters high, 0.7 meters diameter at breast height, and 6 × 7 meters in crown width.

Animal resources
In Dapanshan National Nature Reserve, many kinds of animals are distributed in the north and south, and the biogeographical fauna is subtropical shrub grassland fauna and farmland fauna. According to the investigation in 2005, there are 281 species of terrestrial vertebrates in 72 families of 26 orders, including 22 species of amphibians in 7 families of 2 orders, 46 species of reptiles in 9 families of 3 orders, 146 species of birds in 36 families of 13 orders and 67 species of mammals in 20 families of 8 orders. In addition, there are 20 species of fish in 4 orders, 7 families and 604 species of insects in 21 orders, 144 families.
White headed Bulbul, blackbird, thrush, brown headed Bruchus javanica, great tit, white Wagtail, domestic swallow, golden waist swallow and red billed Blue Magpie are the common bird species in Dapanshan National Nature Reserve of Zhejiang Province. Bamboo pheasant is the most common bird in the order Galliformes, and the resources of silver pheasant and spoon pheasant are larger than that of white necked pheasant. There are a large number of mammal resources, such as weasel, South China rabbit, squirrel, wild boar and muntjac. There are a few species, such as porcupine, leopard, clouded leopard, protocat, wolf, jackal, fox, big civet, little civet, otter, crab eater and impala. There are a small number of individuals, such as leopard cat, roe, maoguan deer, black muntjac and iguana.
Among the terrestrial vertebrates in the Dapanshan National Nature Reserve of Zhejiang Province, there are 4 species of wild animals under the first-class national protection, such as white necked pheasant, clouded leopard, leopard and black muntjac, and 36 species of wild animals under the second-class national protection, such as tiger frog, mandarin duck and hyena (including 1 amphibian, 24 birds and 11 mammals).
In addition, there are 35 species of provincial key protected animals (including 1 amphibian, 6 reptiles, 20 birds and 8 mammals).

Management measures
Management organization
The Administration Bureau of Dapanshan National Nature Reserve is the special administrative agency of Dapanshan nature reserve, which comprehensively organizes and implements the management of the reserve. The Management Bureau is administratively subordinate to the people's Government of Pan'an County, and accepts the guidance of the superior department in charge of business.
