Nanweng River
Nanweng river is the northernmost and farthest tributary of Nenjiang River in Daxinganling forest region, and it is the main source of Nenjiang River.
Nanwenghe wetland is the highest latitude Forest Wetland Nature Reserve in cold temperate zone in China. Because it is far away from people's activity area, the ecosystem here is well maintained. Because the permafrost layer under the surface plays the role of water isolation, the surface water is difficult to infiltrate, and the terrain is flat with poor drainage capacity, so the unique island swamp forest, thermal thaw depression and niuhehu wetland are formed.
On a mountain of Nanweng River, you can climb the fire watch tower with a very broad view and a beautiful and spectacular view of the wetland. Above the swamp, a river meanders in the distance, making a few big turns at the foot of the mountain, and the bank is covered with willows. Due to years of river erosion and diversion, several island forests and closed oxbow lake were formed. A forest belt composed of Larch and Betula platyphylla growing on the swamp or sparsely or densely. Due to the smoky drizzle all day, the wetland is hazy, the smoke cage is far away from the trees, the scenery is confused, and the vision is not very good. I think the wetland scenery in the rain has a special flavor and artistic conception.
