Wuhu reef
At the mouth of Minjiang River, the mother river of Fujian Province, you can see five huge reefs, just like five tigers crouching in the center of the mouth of the surging river. They stand side by side and watch the vast sea. This is the famous scenic spot "five tigers guarding the gate" at home and abroad. Zhu Xi of Song Dynasty once wrote a poem praising "five tiger reef", which is a must for one-day tour of Minjiang River.
brief introduction
The base of the five tiger reef is connected with a tiger at the northeast end. The white porcelain soil on the top is grayish white, which is called "white tiger"; the third tiger in the middle, looking back at the tiger cave in Qingzhi mountain, seems to be attached to the nest on the mountain, which is called "back tiger". When viewing Wuhu reef, you need to find a suitable angle. Generally, the more you look at it, the more you look at it. The ancient fort of changmen, with two turtles and five tigers guarding the gate, constitutes the natural danger of the Minjiang River. The rocks on the five tigers reef are magnificent and strange due to the long-term impact of strong winds and waves.
Folklore
Wuhumen, located at the mouth of Minjiang River, is a reef standing in the middle of the river like five tigers. It is commonly known as wuhumen. It is the only way for seagoing ships to enter Fuzhou port. The five tigers, which are connected by the base, crouch in different shapes. Four of them look directly at the sea, and one looks back at Neijiang River. If you look at them from the front, it's a natural coincidence, and the shape is realistic. It is said that the five tigers fought with the nearby white dog, which made the nearby river restless. Later, they were turned into reefs by Guanyin Bodhisattva, and the white dog became the white dog archipelago in Changle City. From then on, they worked together to guard the Minjiang Estuary. Once there was an enemy on the sea, the white dog immediately barked to the police, and the five tigers were ready to fight.
