Zoerji Temple
Zoerji temple is located in zhongditang village, zhongditang Township, Rangtang County, Sichuan Province. It was built in 1307, the 11th year of Dade reign of emperor Chengzong of the Yuan Dynasty. Its full name is "sangzhourolorulun of Xiaer Rangtang". It belongs to juenong sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Zoerji Temple gets its name from the first living Buddha "zoerji living Buddha". Zoerji temple, covering an area of 2500 square meters, is one of the three major temples in zhongzangtang.
At present, there are still four buildings in yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, living Buddha houses (the first to the 13th generations), Kangma temple, Kangsa temple, sutra hall, hundreds of Tangka painted in Ming, Qing, Republic of China and modern times, Buddhist scriptures written in gold and silver water, and ancillary cultural relics such as Buddha statues, magic weapons, silver pagodas inlaid with gems, which are of high artistic and scientific research value . The architecture of zoerji temple in yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties is a typical Tibetan traditional style. It is one of the three temples in zhongzangtang.
In 2006, zoerji temple was listed as the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
