It provides rich and accurate information and basis for a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the coffin system, which is also rare in the excavated rock tombs of the past dynasties in China.

Historical evolution
Liu Kuan ascended the throne in the fourth year of the Tianhan Dynasty (97 BC). He was in office for 11 years. In 87 BC, he committed adultery with the queen and concubine of his father Liu Hu (posthumous title of King Shi), violated human relations, and cursed Emperor Wu by offering sacrifices to his ancestors. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty wanted to take him to the capital for questioning. Liu Kuan committed suicide after hearing the news. Later, Jibei kingdom was abolished and changed to Bei'an County, which belongs to Taishui county.
Although the construction of the king's tomb in Jibei took 11 years, the final project was not completed, including the tomb passage, drainage system, etc., and the tomb gate was temporarily built with stones. Because Liu Kuan committed suicide in order to get the crime, his tomb did not use the popular Huangchang inscription of the royal family, and there was a lack of jade clothes and seals in the funerary objects, and jade articles were rarely used.
