Founded in September 1984, Tianjin Jue Wu society memorial hall is a key cultural relic protection unit in Tianjin. On September 10, 1986, Deng Yingchao visited the museum and inscribed the name of the museum.
The memorial hall was built on the site of the awakening society. It is a small house composed of seven green brick and wood structure bungalows. Founded on September 16, 1919, the awakening society is a youth Revolutionary Association founded by Zhou Enlai, Ma Jun and Deng Yingchao during the May 4th movement. It is also one of the revolutionary groups spreading Marxism before the founding of the Communist Party of China. Li Dazhao came to Tianjin on September 21, 1919 to encourage and support the members. In the spirit of "innovation" and "innovation", the awakening society takes "self-consciousness" and "self-determination" as its main purpose. Zhou Enlai is the actual leader of the awakening society and the editor in chief of the journal awakening.
The former site of the society was damaged by the earthquake in 1976 and rebuilt in 1982.
Memorial Hall of Tianjin Jue Wu Society
Located at No. 48, Sanjie lane, Sanma Road, Zhouwei Road, Hebei District, Tianjin, the memorial hall of Tianjin Jue Wu society covers a total area of 176 square meters. The museum has one recovery exhibition room and two auxiliary exhibition rooms. This is the place where members of the awakening society were active. On the outside wall is a stone tablet of the former site of the awakening society. Inside the house are a desk and an iron bed. On the desk are four treasures of the study and Marx's works. On the outside eight immortals table are iron plates and paper lots for members to draw lots, which represent the original appearance of history. There are more than 80 precious historical documents and photos in the auxiliary exhibition room, showing the growth and struggle process of the progressive patriotic group composed of Zhou Enlai, Deng Yingchao, Ma Jun and other backbone members during the 1919 "May 4th" patriotic movement, as well as the leading core role of the "awakening society" in the Tianjin patriotic movement
On September 16, 1984, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the founding of the society, with the approval of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the memorial hall of the society in Tianjin was established at the former site of the society. On September 10, 1986, Comrade Deng Yingchao made a special trip to the museum to inspect and inscribe a plaque on the former site of the awakening society. The museum is now a key cultural relic protection unit of Tianjin and a patriotic education base of Tianjin.
