Wuse spring
The stone tablet of "five color spring" is embedded in the stacked stone. There is a fountain flowing out of the stacked stone. What is "five color"? It is said that it is related to Taoism. Therefore, not far from the foot of the five color spring, there are Taoist symbols of yin and Yang and eight trigrams on the ground.
Basic introduction
Wuse spring is located in zuibaichi Park, Songjiang District, Shanghai. It is a rockery made of Taihu Lake stones. There is wuse spring in zuibaichi, with white water flowing from top to bottom, like a mini waterfall. In front of the rockery, there is a pool with an area of more than 20 square meters. On the top of the outlet of the spring is the big character "five color spring", and on the left side of the stone is the small character of five elements: "it is said that GE Zhichuan made pills here. After he was put into the water, five color scholars would raise the cloud if he saw it", "the seventh year of Daoguang came to the moon of Dinghai and Mengxia", "the king of Qiannan should write to Fengli.". Ge Zhichuan, also known as Ge Hong, was a famous Taoist in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Of course, the Taoist had to refine alchemy. The stone inscription said that after Ge Hongdan was trained, he threw it into the water, and the spring water often showed five colors. If you want to be a scholar, you will see the five color spring. I don't know whether yingfengli, the king of Qiannan, wrote it before or after his fame. Maybe it was his pursuit of metaphysics and worship of Ge Hong. It is said that any scholar or official who can see the "five color spring" will be promoted to be a senior official.
Historic sites
The West Lake of the gusongjiang River, originally small in size, has been silted up into land. The site seems to be about one kilometer east of zuibai lake, near the south end of Puzhao road in Maogu. According to the Yongzheng edition of Zhejiang Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty, the surface area of the West Lake of the gusongjiang river was more than 100 mu at that time. Songjiang West Lake, also known as the old West Lake in ancient times, is also called Maohu lake or lumaochi because Lu Mao, the younger brother of Prime Minister Lu Xun of the eastern Wu Dynasty, raised fish here. Ge Zhichuan, the Taoist mentioned in the wusequan stele, was born in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and named Ge Hong. Zhichuan was his character. He wrote the biography of immortals, baopuzi and other works. He was called "immortal in the cave" and lived in seclusion beside the West Lake of Songjiang River to concentrate on alchemy. In Yuan Dynasty, there was jianxihu Academy on Songjiang West Lake. After the Academy was abandoned, the West Lake Taoist temple was built next to ge Zhichuan's Alchemy department. In the 7th year of Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty, Wang Yingfeng built the wuse spring stele in Xihu Taoist temple. Nowadays, the true five color springs in Songjiang, together with the West Lake, the West Lake academy and the West Lake Taoist temple in Songjiang, have disappeared one after another. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, wusequan stele survived and moved to zuibaichi. Today, people can see its vicissitudes
Origin of wuse spring
During the Three Kingdoms period, Songjiang was the territory of Wu state. It is said that Sun Quan, the king of Wu in the Three Kingdoms, was fond of Daoism and attached great importance to ge Xuan (164-244). He built a cave temple for him to preach in the Wu area. One day, Ge Xuan came to Songjiang with the fleet of Sunquan, king of Wu. He saw nine peaks in the north of Songjiang, the blue water of Maohe River in the west, the green water beside shenjingtang, the smoke curling from the field cottage, and the beautiful scenery. Ge Xuan sighed: "it's really a pure land of fairy water. It can be said that it's a place for Taoist family to cultivate themselves." Ge Xuan once again took a boat from shenjingtang to Songjiang, and the boat arrived at the intersection of Shihe River. Suddenly, the boat was overturned by strong wind and heavy rain. Ge Xuan fell into the water and was washed out several feet by big waves. When he was in danger, he was rescued by local fishermen and stayed in the fishermen's home on the east side of shenjingtang (now Songjiang Central Hospital). Ge Xuan was very grateful to the fishermen in Songjiang for saving their lives. He looked for local herbal medicines to help them He also went to the West Lake of Songjiang to make pills. One day, the elixir came out and glowed red. Ge Xuan was so excited that he took it in his hand to appreciate it. He accidentally dropped a elixir into the water of the West Lake, and the water immediately flowed into five colors. Later, five colors were occasionally seen in the water of the West Lake, so he called it "five color spring". It's said that if someone sees the spring in five colors, he will be promoted to a higher position. According to the poem "wuse Quan" written by Tiantai in the Qing and Tang Dynasties, "it is said that gewengdan has changed in wuse Quan. The imperial examination also happened by chance, and Xi will be seen by everyone. " It is said that in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Ge Xuan was a alchemist from sun Gehong (283-363), who was named Zhichuan and baopuzi. When Sima Rui was the prime minister, he used it to be an official, and later he served as a counsellor and a member of the army. Later, he brought his nephew from Jurong, Danyang (now Jiangsu Province) to Fushan, Guangdong Province to refine pills. In the meantime, Fang traveled from zugexuan to Songjiang to see gexuan's Alchemy in the West Lake. Songjiang people called Ge Xuan and Ge Hong's Alchemy place Ge Xianweng's Alchemy place. During the reign of the Yuan Dynasty, the West Lake Taoist temple was built beside the alchemy department. In the 7th year of Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty, the stele of "wusequan" was erected and placed in the West Lake Taoist temple. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the stele of "wusequan" was moved to zuibaichi.
