Baoshan palace Education Museum
Baoshan palace education museum is located in Ciqikou, an ancient town beside Jialing River, Shapingba District, Chongqing, China.
Architectural features
Baoshan palace is a famous Taoist temple in Ciqikou. Qianmen "Baoshan palace Education Museum" was written by Qu Xiansi, a famous Chinese calligrapher. The "Baoshan palace Education Museum" on the gate is written by Mr. Fan Zhonglin, the primary school teacher and principal of Ding Zhaozhong, the Nobel Laureate in physics.
The architecture of Baoshan palace conforms to the Taoist concept of Yin Yang and five elements of "gold, wood, water, fire and earth". The gate is not in the center of the axis of the Taoist temple, but in the southeast, facing the Jialing River, which coincides with the Taoist idea of water and fire restraining each other. Because the wooden house was afraid of fire, it used water to control it. Therefore, the hospital has survived many disasters and is still well preserved. The courtyard of Baoshan palace is wide and in the shape of a ladder. There is a worship platform of about 100 square meters in it. In the past, all the good men and women knelt here to offer incense. There is an ancient well on the worship platform. The water in the well is called holy water. In the past, all the good men and women knelt here to drink holy water and clean their hands. They climbed 16 steps to the main hall to kowtow and make vows. Although it was superstitious, it was true at that time.
During the period of the Republic of China, Ciqikou set off a great movement to establish a new school. Mr. Fan Zhonglin, who taught in Ciqikou, opened up the Baoshan palace as Jialing primary school and became the principal of the school. During the Anti Japanese War, Ding Zhaozhong's parents took refuge and came to Ciqikou. His father taught in Chongqing University, his mother taught in Sichuan Provincial Institute of education in Ciqikou, where he also studied for three years. Now the government has turned the Institute into an education Museum, which systematically shows the outline of education of Sha CI culture. The statue in the courtyard is the scene where Ding Zhaozhong stopped studying here. Now, let's take a look at the education of Sha CI culture in turn.
Building composition
The museum exhibition is divided into three parts. The first part, i.e. 1-3 rooms, mainly introduces the evolution of Chinese ancient school running system and the school construction before the Anti Japanese war in shaci area. Among them, it focuses on the introduction of Chongqing Dongchuan academy, which has a hundred years of education history in our district. Huang Zhongyin and Zhao Xi, the lecturers of Dongchuan academy, were both edited by the Imperial Academy of the Qing Dynasty. Huang Zhongyin was born in Ciqikou, and we have already made an introduction in the Imperial Academy. Zhao Xi, a native of Rongxian County, Sichuan Province, worked in poetry, calligraphy and painting, leaving many poems about Ciqikou handed down from generation to generation. It is said that he was Guo Moruo's first calligraphy teacher.
The second part, room 4-8, is about sand magnetism education. These exhibition rooms display a large number of pictures and objects of the period of the capital, which shows the background and splendid situation of the times of shaci culture in detail. Here, there are several points worth thinking about: first, the school loan system at that time. According to the pictures, the school loan system in the Republic of China was quite perfect, including students' family situation questionnaire, personal application and collection credentials. The second is the grand gathering of famous schools at that time. In the small Ciqikou area, more than 30 schools were moved to the area. Even the Central University, the highest institution of higher learning at that time, moved here, which shows its grand occasion. Third, the moral education of the school students at that time was quite representative, which was very conducive to operation. Such as "not in the sun to read; others have difficulties, I take the initiative to help; where I go, I must first tell my parents and teachers" and so on, both educational significance, and easy to operate, the effect is very good. Fourth, Nankai Middle School Teachers and students set an example. At that time, a large number of institutions of higher learning gathered around Ciqikou,
And there are many famous primary and secondary schools. Among them, Nankai primary school (today's No.3 middle school), founded by Zhang Boling, a famous educator in China, is the most famous. According to incomplete statistics, as many as 37 Nankai Middle school students have been appointed members of the Ministry of education and academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Sciences since liberation. The specific list and pictures are all here. Please have a look at the scholar Fengcai.
The third part, carrying on the past and ushering in the future (rooms 8-10), mainly shows the scene when Ding Zhaozhong was studying. Ding Zhaozhong was born in 1936. At that time, both his parents were studying in the United States. They had planned to return home together. However, because of the strong reaction of pregnancy, his mother gave birth to Ding Zhaozhong in the United States, and then returned home two months later. Therefore, Ding Zhaozhong often said that he "accidentally became an American.". After returning to China, Ding Zhaozhong went to Chongqing several times. He studied in primary school here in 1941, went to Nanjing with his father in 1945, then went to Taiwan in 1948, and then went to the United States to study. In 1975, he discovered the "J" particle. After he discovered the "J" particle, US President Ford sent a special telegram to congratulate him. In 1976, in view of the importance of the "J" particle to physics, the Swedish Nobel prize selection committee decided to award Ding Zhaozhong the Nobel Prize in physics. On the day of awarding the prize, both the US government and the Swedish Nobel prize selection committee asked Mr. Ding to speak in English. Mr. Dante insisted on speaking in Chinese. He said, "I am Chinese and must speak in Chinese. "Finally, it was agreed that Mr. Ding would speak in Chinese first and then in English again, thus setting a precedent for a Nobel Prize winner to speak in two languages. Here are the teaching aids used by fan Zhonglin, the headmaster of the former Ciqikou Jialing primary school, and the classrooms and seats used by Ding Zhaozhong when he was studying. By the way, many people like to bring their children to Mr. Ding's seat and take a picture as a souvenir.
