brief introduction
The scenic area is composed of Xishan mountain peaks, West Lake and Yinshan Mountain. The peaks are surrounded by the West Lake and Taohua River, forming a wonderful scenery of mountains and rivers. At dusk, the setting sun slants on the mountain peak, the cloud forest changes, the golden light and the purple air transpiration. It is the "Xifeng sunset" of Guilin's eight famous sceneries. In addition, it is recorded that the 36 West Lakes in the Tang Dynasty, with Guilin West Lake as the largest, are the only West Lake connected by mountains and rivers in China, with its water as bright as a mirror and green mountains as reflected in the water. The lotus fragrance rippled in the lake, and the smoke curled in the lake. It is a small and exquisite mountain that looms in between. There are many caves in Yinshan. The famous ones are beigui, Chaoyang, Baique, Jialian, Nanhua and Xiyang, which are collectively called "six caves in Yinshan". In Yin Shan Ming, written by Ruan Yuan, a scholar in Qing Dynasty, it is said that "one mountain is empty, and six caves penetrate each other." Each of the six caves has its own posture, and most of them are connected with springs. It has become an underground "Dragon Palace" and is known as "the most wonderful place of Bagui cave". Xishan Scenic Area also has rich and profound cultural heritage. It is the original site of xiqinglin temple, the head of five southern Zen temples in Tang Dynasty. The existing more than 1000 stone inscriptions and cliff statues of the Tang Dynasty have a history of more than 1000 years. They are the earliest and most cliff inscriptions in Guilin. It has been visited for many generations, including Jianzhen, Li Bo and Rong Yu in Tang Dynasty, Mi Fu, Fang Xinru and Fan Chengda in Song Dynasty, Xu Xiake, yuan Chonghuan and Dong chuance in Ming Dynasty, and Li Zongren, Xu Beihong and Lao She in Republic of China.
Xishan Park (Guilin) is located in the west section of Lijun road and the east section of Xishan Road, Xiufeng District, Guilin City, Guangxi Province. It is the second largest comprehensive park in Guilin City (the first comprehensive park in Guilin city is Qixing Park).

scenic spot
Xishan: Xishan is composed of Xifeng, Guanyin, Longtou and Qianshan. At the entrance are XiongBen Museum, museum and big lawn (in front of the Museum). Xishan was developed in the Tang Dynasty. At that time, xiqinglin temple was one of the five Buddhist temples in the Tang Dynasty (Yanling temple in the middle and late Tang Dynasty, Ziqing temple in the Song Dynasty). There were more than 90 Buddhist niches on the mountain, more than 200 cliff statues in Qianshan, Liyu peak, Guanyin peak and Longtou stone forest, and a pavilion called Xifeng Pavilion.
Guanyin peak: Guanyin peak is located on Jiashan road in the north of the park, 328 meters above sea level, 178 meters above sea level, second only to Xifeng. It is a treasure house of cliff statues, not far from Xifeng Pavilion. There are stone steps at the bottom of the peak. You can climb to the peak by walking along the stone steps. There are dozens of niches of Buddha statues on both sides of the stone steps, about 100 statues. The highest one is 2 meters, and the small one is only tens of centimeters. There is the famous pilushena Buddha on the ridge of the mountain. According to the inscription, it is made by Li Shi in 679, the first year of Tiaolu in Tang Dynasty. The niche on the side of the peak is a natural grotto, spectacular and full of Buddhist color.
Xifeng Pavilion: on the hillside of Liyu peak, it is a good place to enjoy the sunset of Xifeng peak, so it is called Xifeng Pavilion. Originally a wooden structure, it was built in 1958 and later abandoned. Now it is on the West platform of the old site. A new reinforced concrete upper structure is built. The octagonal pavilion with single eaves, zanjianding, Zhuzhu and Lvwa is 10 meters high, 8.3 meters long and 8.3 meters wide, covering an area of 71 square meters. Zhou You's stone hurdles are inscribed by Huang Miaozi, a famous calligrapher and painter, and couplets under them. They are "a view of a thousand peaks around the world; a small pavilion with a breeze". They are attractive to linger around. The scenery is very beautiful, and the forest is quiet. They open up blocks and enjoy peace.
Xifeng: Xifeng is the highest peak of Xishan. It is located in the west of the central part of Xishan Park. It is a peak forest (located in the west of the three peaks) with Guanyin, Qianshan and Liyu. It is a Buddhist cultural relic Resort and a good place to watch the landscape, buildings and clouds in the west of the city. Along the stone steps in front of Xifeng, you can reach the leading stone forest in front of the peak. Seen from a distance, Xifeng is tall and straight, like a stone pillar inserted between the peaks. Here is one of the eight sceneries in Guilin, "Xifeng sunset". When it comes to dusk, the setting sun shines on the West Peak and scatters on the crevices of each peak, which is beautiful and comfortable. Xifeng is 357 meters above sea level, 107 meters above sea level, 1600 meters long from east to west, 97 meters wide from north to south, and covers an area of 82.25 hectares.
Qianshan: Qianshan is located in the southeast of LianZuo peak forest (also in the southeast of Xifeng), with an altitude of 357 meters and a relative height of 207 meters. Qianshan Mountain is rich in trees and pleasant scenery. The existing stone steps connect to the peak, winding and quiet, with beautiful scenery. According to the records of Qian Shan Guan Ji by Zhang Xiaoxiang of Song Dynasty, the Qian Shan Guan in Qian Shan was built in the Zhenguan period of Tang Dynasty (627-649) and rebuilt in Song Dynasty. The three characters "qianshanguan" carved on the stone wall on the side of the view are written by Zhang Xiaoxiang, the pacifier of Guangxi economic strategy, and carved by Li zengbo of Jingjiang Prefecture. This is the second edition. Later, the Taoist temple was in disrepair for a long time, and only the ruins could be identified. The view was located on a high terrain with a wide field of vision. The country forest in Qianshan Mountain was built by Fang Xiaoru, a poet of the Song Dynasty, who was appointed by tidian prison in Guangxi.

Kumamoto Museum in Guilin
In front of the museum, the Kumamoto Museum in Guilin has regular exhibition hall, special exhibition hall and memorial garden. In the permanent exhibition hall, there are Japanese badai room and tea ceremony room. In addition, photos of Kumamoto and traditional crafts are displayed. The special exhibition hall is used to hold various exchange and exhibition activities between the two cities. Because Guilin and Kumamoto are friendship cities, this museum is specially built. The architecture belongs to Japanese residential style, and the garden reflects the living customs and interests of Kumamoto residents. The Kumamoto Museum in Guilin, with a construction area of 947.2 square meters and a memorial garden of 1200 square meters, was completed and opened in October 1990.
Yinshan: Yinshan is located in the east of the park, with six caves (called Yinshan six caves), huagaian, Chaoyang Pavilion and Qingyun Pavilion. As early as before the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there was a West Lake with an area of 700 Mu at the southeast foot of the west mountain, in which a small Hill loomed. This mountain is Yinshan.
West Lake: the hill in the West Lake is the hidden mountain. Between the hidden mountain and the west mountain is the West Lake, which is connected by a bridge. The blend of history, culture and landscape of the whole park, together with the embellishment of modern architecture, shows the charm of the comprehensive park. The air in the park is fresh, and tourists often linger here.

In Song Dynasty, Ziqing temple and Qianshan temple were built in Xishan. Yinshan got its name in Ming and Qing Dynasties.
