Qinfeng pagoda
Qinfeng pagoda is located in the West Bank of shangshupu, Qiandeng Town (formerly qiandun town), Kunshan City.
In the second year of Liang Tianjian (503), Yanfu Temple monk Congyi built seven level qinzhufeng (now known as Qinfeng pagoda) in Qiandeng Puxi, Yanfu Temple South and Qiandeng Town, and rebuilt it in Hongwu year of Ming Dynasty. In 2013, it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
brief introduction
Qinfeng pagoda is located in Puxi, Shangshu Town, Qiandeng Town, Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province. The tower is a brick and wood structure, 11 Zhang 6 feet 1 inch (38.7 meters) high, with a square cross-sectional plane, 1 Zhang 4 feet 6 inches 4 minutes (4.88 meters) long on each side. The top brake is made of iron, 2 Zhang 1 feet (7 meters) high. The top is made of iron gourd, with octagonal rings welded at the bottom. A red copper bird is set up at each corner, and then four pieces of white copper big ear pieces are embedded. The big ear pieces are connected by iron, with four corners at the top and each corner eaves Under the Department of copper bell, gust blowing, copper Ding Dong, Sha is refreshing. Each floor of the tower is connected by escalators, and each floor uses nanmu as the bottom plate, which can go straight to the top floor. In the old days, there was a teahouse on the top floor, with wooden railings on the periphery of each floor, which can overlook the scenery of all directions. In the Qing Dynasty, Fang HAOSI had a poem: "thousands of piers are on the top of the tower, high into the sky, hindering the wild eagles. If I want to go to the world, I will not be able to win the autumn wind. " The pagoda collapsed in the late Ming Dynasty. In the Qing Dynasty, the monk song hall in Jingshan was rebuilt and restored.
Development history
In July of 1724, the second year of Yongzheng reign, a strong wind broke off the top of Qinfeng tower. On the hinge, there were several pieces of Wanli coins, which were still intact. Qianlong 54 years (1789) from Yanfu Temple monks see cloud raised to repair, to the fourth floor, capital exhausted. During the period of Tongzhi, when the Taiping army fought with the Qing army, all the shelves, escalators and railings around the Qinfeng tower were burned. At this point, visitors can only watch the tower and sigh. In 1962 and 1963, the protective maintenance was carried out. In 1978, the "wall" protection tower was repaired. In 1989, the tower brake was strengthened and the lightning rod was replaced. In 1994, it was overhauled and the style of Song Dynasty was restored. Visitors can climb the tower to have a distant view. It is a cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level
