During the reign of Emperor Qianlong, there were walls on three sides of Kunming Lake. This city gate is the gateway to the garden from the West. In 1860, it was plundered by the British and French allied forces. Outside the city, there is an ancient pine with sparse branches, which is a relic of the Qianlong period. During the reign of Qianlong, there were no walls on three sides of Kunming Lake. This pass was the gateway to the park from the West. It could control the area of xiruyimen, and it was the same as the Wenchang Pavilion in Wanshou, Shandong Province. It symbolized the combination of culture and martial arts.
Through the stone bridge in the north of the stone square, and then through the Yunyan archway, walking northward from a path, you can see the Suyun eaves hidden in the trees from a distance. Through the zigzag railings made of wood, you can reach the Suyun eaves pass.
