brief introduction
E tomb is located more than 30 miles northwest of Feng County, which is now Shouxian town. E Tomb Village is named because it is close to e tomb.
E tomb is said to be the tomb of e emperor, the daughter of Emperor Yao. Following Yao's throne, Shun unified the Central Plains, fought everywhere, and did not return to the palace for a long time. In order to follow her husband out of the palace, e Huang died here (also known as drowning in yellow water), that is to say, he was buried here. Its authenticity can not be verified. According to the records of Fengxian County of the Ming Dynasty, "the tomb of E is 30 Li northwest of the county. According to legend, e-nu, whose surname is unknown, is suspected to be Gu lie's daughter. "
The tomb covers an area of more than ten mu. According to the tombstone records: "Ming Chenghua, Hongzhi in the second excavation, the tomb on all sides of the door, ring hundreds of steps, in the cave space corridor, a lot of stone." build
In the third year of the Yuan Dynasty (1343 A.D.), the Dai Temple of e tomb was established in E tomb. Its architectural complex is magnificent with extraordinary momentum. In 1505, it was rebuilt. According to the Ming edition of Fengxian annals, there are three main halls and three back halls. The statues in the temple are solemn and serious, the brackets are painted with color, the beams are flying in the air, the cornices are surrounded by fog, and the red and blue are showing off. A gate tower was built in front of the temple and 150 trees were planted behind it. In the early years of the Republic of China, there were two main halls in the East and the west, each with three rooms. They were divided into two courtyards, each with three mountain gates. The West Hall is called "renzu Temple". It is covered with glazed tiles. There are iron forks and cloud swallows on the ridge. There are four stone tablets on the east side of the gate. The East Hall is called "Tianqi Temple". It has more than ten steps. Through the main hall of the hall, there is a bridge connecting with the back Pavilion. The back Pavilion is a three Bay two-story building. This bridge is called Jinyin bridge. In front of the main hall, there are five East and West galleries. In the south of the East galleries, there is the earth temple. Between renzu temple and Tianqi temple, there is Guandi temple. In the northwest corner of renzu temple, there is Huo temple. In the south of Huo temple, there is Huazu temple. All the above temples have statues, which are majestic, spectacular and lifelike. When the temple was built, worshippers kept on worshiping. There are more prayers in case of disaster. Every year, March 28 of the lunar calendar is the temple fair of e tomb. It is very lively, rain or shine. "Tens of thousands of people come from far and near, and it is the city day and night.".
Damage
In the 40 years from 1926 when the ancient bell was smashed and the "renzu Temple" was demolished, to 1964, this huge ancient building complex was demolished one after another. The original Tomb of E was also transformed into flat farmland, and the temple fair of E was dissolved. This is just as Liu Jianlong said in the Ming Dynasty: "where is the lady Fangqiu? A deserted village in the clouds. If the iron core does not change the autumn scenery, it is difficult for the jade appearance to attract the soul of the night moon. Flowers and trees are blooming in the four seasons, and spirits shine through the ages. It's so romantic that it's still heard forever
