Zhaoming Temple

Since ancient times, there have been Zhaoming temple in Lin'an of Zhejiang Province and Zhaoming temple in Fuding of Fujian Province. Zhaoming temple in Lin'an, Zhejiang Province, was founded by the prince of Zhaoming. It was called "Zhaoming Temple" at that time. The emperor granted it "Zhaoming Temple" and later generations called it "Zhaoming Temple".

Zhaoming temple was built more than 1500 years ago in Datong (527-529) of the Liang Dynasty. Xiao Tong, the prince of Zhaoming, once divided the Diamond Sutra in this mountain. We also compiled the earliest extant anthology Zhaoming anthology.

Zhaoming temple, the anthology has a wide influence on Chinese literature in China and even in the world.

Brief introduction to temples

Zhaoming temple, or Zhaoming temple, is a Buddhist temple. In China, there are two famous Buddhist Temples: "Zhaoming temple in Tianmu Mountain, Lin'an, Zhejiang Province" and "Zhaoming temple in Fuding, Fujian Province". They are both built by Xiao Tong, a litterateur of Liang Dynasty and the eldest son of Emperor Wu.

Zhaoming temple is located in the East Tianmu Mountain of Lin'an, Zhejiang Province. According to Wulin Fanzhi, Hangzhou mountains originate from Tianmu, with East and West: the vein of East Tianmu is extracted from Yuhang, ending in Jingshan; the vein of West Tianmu is extracted from Qiantang, ending in West Lake. Therefore, Tianmu Mountain is the main mountain range in Hangzhou. This mountain has the spirit of emperor, so the Song Dynasty moved to the south.

Landscape layout

The beauty of Tianmu Mountain is numerous. 40 miles west of Lin'an City, there is a huge cliff "Ruo Tian Jing" in Yueyi mountain. On the left, there are Dragon King Hall and baihepo; on the right, there are Zhaoming nunnery and Chuihong bridge. On the side of the bridge, there are waterfalls, such as white dragons, flying pearls. On top of them are several giant tarsonites with diameter of 67 girth. "Jin autumn day ascends the sky to look at the mountain poem" praises: "the mang Qi flies, does not see the mountain, the plate towering, the current murmur. Refine the green white clouds and the blue, and dot the red and yellow leaves.

" "Taiping Huan Ji" says: "the mountain is 3900 Zhang high and 550 Li wide; because of the twists and turns of the mountain, the East and the West are as big as the eye. Therefore, Tianmu comes out in the East, and Lin'an is the largest; Tiaoxi flows to the east when the stream overflows; Zixi flows to the west when the stream tends to be hidden; and Huaihe River is located in Zhejiang when the two streams join Lu River. There are Qianfo Pavilion in Zhaoming temple, which has not been destroyed by the fire, because there is a "spirit cave" on the back of the mountain; Heilu nunnery, the place where Zen master Chihu Chihu of song Xidu; Pingxi nunnery on the left; Xianzhu pier on the stream of nunnery; bailongchi, a flying bridge, stands on all sides. There are Huiguang nunnery, xiyanchi and wudaosong at the right of Qianfo Pavilion. It is covered like a tree and can be multiplied by shade. From Huiguang nunnery to the left, there is "fenjing platform". It is said that Xiao Tong, the prince of Liang Zhaoming in the Southern Dynasty, divided the Vajra Sutra into 32 sections. On the top two of the eye washing pool, there are stone barriers, such as "qinglianhua"; on the top several miles, you can see "daxianfeng boulder", which is as high as several feet. It is said that there is a "floating Jade Pool" on the top of the mountain, with an altitude of 1479 meters. Zhang Jiazhen's poem of visiting Zhaoming Temple once praised Zhaoming Temple: "the Buddhist temple is called Xiao temple in the world, only this temple has its surname Xiao. Zhaoming temple is towering and well arranged. The layout is roughly divided into three parts. On the left side of the temple is a monk's pilgrim's living place. Lin'an Zhaoming temple is located in Mituo village, Zhaoming temple, East Tianmu Mountain, Zhejiang Province. It is said that the crown prince of Zhaoming divided the place of the Vajra Sutra. It was built in the 29th year of the Yuan Dynasty, and then it was demolished. In the Ming Dynasty, the temple was rebuilt.

Traffic information

After arriving at Lin'an, take bus No.8 at Lin'an north station to Li Village (east entrance of East Tianmu Mountain Scenic Spot) or mouse bridge (West entrance of East Tianmu Mountain Scenic Spot). You can get off at both stations to enter the scenic spot. You can also take a taxi directly from Lin'an to East Tianmu Mountain for about 80 yuan.
