Nange pailou group is located in Zhongzhi street of Nange village. There are seven archways in the group, but there are five, all facing north. Five archways are arranged along the main street of Nange village, with a total length of 150 meters. Retaining more early techniques, it has obvious southern Zhejiang local architectural style. The archway is about 7 meters high, 5.5-7 meters wide and about 4 meters deep. It is well preserved and the surrounding historical environment has not changed greatly. The five archways are similar in shape and structure. All of them are of mixed wood and stone structure, with single bay, three floors and six columns for deep distraction. The material is relatively strong, and the score, side foot and rising are very obvious. At the same time, there are special-shaped Dougong, special-shaped beam, inserted Dougong and flat roof. Nange archway group is a rare example of Ming Dynasty. It not only maintains some official practices, but also has a strong local style. Structurally, the central column is deeply buried to stabilize the whole building, and the space is revealed to reduce the load, which has high scientific value. The five archways were built one hundred years apart. The changes of details reflect the evolution of local style and have high artistic value.

architectural style
Nange is the entrance of xianshengmen scenic spot in Yandang Mountain. On a straight street paved with pebbles, there are five archways. On the high red plaque, there are Dou Da's regular script in gold: "Shi Jinshi", "en Guang", "Fang Bo", "Shang Shu" and "Hui Kui", which shows the fame and status of Zhang's generations. "Shijinshi" archway was built in the 23rd year of Jiajing by zhanglun, zhangxuanying and zhangchaofeng; "Enguang" archway was built in Zhengde by zhangxuanmei; "Fangbo" archway was built in Zhengde by zhangxuanying; "Shangshu" archway was built in the early year of Hongzhi, and "huikui" archway was built in the 4th year of Zhengtong, all for zhanglun. The structure and shape of the five archways are all single rooms of wood and stone structure with triple eaves and six columns on the top of the mountain (one column is added to the left and right main columns respectively to support the eaves). The ridge is decorated with a dragon's kiss, and the height is about 8 meters.
Layout structure
The two main columns are square stone columns with round corners, and the four side columns are round wooden columns. The base of the column is made of stones, about 50 cm or 80 cm high. The bucket arch structure on the column and beam has the characteristics of the times and the place. Take the "Shangshu" archway as an example, its main beam has 14 protective buckets, 36 small buckets, the wooden main beam has another bucket, the two sides of the column head has 14 protective buckets, 24 small buckets, and 18 single lower arches. The archways were rebuilt in the early Qing Dynasty, but the main part still retains the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty.
