Lingjiu peak, also known as Feilai peak, is 168 meters high. It is said that in the early years of Xianhe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Huili, an Indian monk, traveled here. Seeing this rugged rock mountain, he thought it was very similar to the Indian spirit Eagle Peak and said, "this is the small ridge where the spirit vultures of the middle kingdom came from. I don't know why they came here?" Since then, he built a temple here, named Lingyin, and called the stone mountain in front of the temple Feilai peak.
Lingjiu peak
Lingjiu peak is a famous mountain in Taihuai town of Wutai Mountain, which is often used as the synonym of Wutai Mountain.
Interpretation of spirit vulture
The word "spirit vulture" comes from ancient India. In ancient India, there was a mountain. Because it was like a vulture, and there were many vultures in the mountain, it was thought to have aura, so it was called lingjiu mountain, or Lingshan mountain. It is said that Sakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism, lived in the mountains for many years. So many legends in Buddhism are related to this mountain. Lingjiu mountain is often synonymous with Buddha. In order to publicize the religion, many famous monks attached their practice place as the vulture.
According to the new records of Wutai in Guangxu, "there is a branch coming down from the south, rising and falling repeatedly, protruding a pillar, smaller than Mount Shan, a famous spirit vulture pillar, a Bodhisattva peak, and now is the place where the great Lama of Huangjiao is stationed in tin...", so the spirit vulture peak is another name for today's Bodhisattva peak.

The geological structure of klippe is limestone, which is quite different from the surrounding mountains. No stone is strange, no tree is ancient, no cave is secluded. It is said that there are 72 caves, most of which have been obliterated.
In the existing Longhong cave, there is a statue of Guanyin. On the left side of the cave is shexu cave. Through the cracks on the top of the rock, you can see a line of sky light. This is the famous line of sky. You can hear the constant sound of water in the sixth cave of Tibet. On the west side of the mountain, there is the hoape cave. It is said that the monk Huili called for the black and white apes. The ape roar in the cold spring was one of the ten sceneries in Qiantang.
At the West foot of Feilai peak, there is a cold spring hidden in the deep green shade. The spring water is crystal clear as jade. On the surface of the pool, there is an underground spring with a big bowl mouth. No matter whether the stream rises or falls, it will gush ceaselessly, flying pearls and splashing jade, like playing the sound of nature. Shen Shitian, a painter of the Ming Dynasty, wrote: "the scenery on the lake is hidden, and the scenery is only in the cold spring." There is a cold spring Pavilion beside the cold spring pool.
At the entrance of Longhong cave of Feilai peak, Yougong pagoda, a lingjiu pagoda, is the only existing mingta in Hangzhou. It is made of stone and has six sides and six floors, which is rare. The structure of the tower is simple and unique.
Located in the hillside of Lingyin Feilai peak, the Cuiwei Pavilion is small and exquisite. Beside the pavilion, the mountain path is winding, and it is hidden in the ancient pine trees. It is simple and dignified. This pavilion was built in memory of Yue Fei by Han Shizhong, a famous anti Jin general in the Southern Song Dynasty. There is a couplet on the pavilion, which says: "the road turns to the peak to return to the historic site, and the pavilion empty people look up to the former sages." Today's Cuiwei pavilion was rebuilt on the original site in 1924.

The image of "open chest, open mouth, smiling all the difficult things in the world, laughing all the ridiculous people in the world" makes tourists compete to take photos as a memento.
There are more than 100 statues of Lamaism in feilaifeng in the Yuan Dynasty. They are exquisitely carved, elegant and graceful, and well preserved. The statues of viluzana, Manjusri and Puxian on the outer wall of the entrance to the Qinglin cave are the earliest stone sculptures of the Yuan Dynasty in the West Lake of Hangzhou. There is a Song Dynasty high relief statue on the left side of the Huhu cave.
