Development history
Beijing diabolo museum is located in Xiaoxing Hutong, west of Baoguo temple, covering an area of about 200 square meters. By the end of 2008, the renovation and exterior decoration of the museum have been completed according to the schedule. Since the start of the preparatory work in August 2008, the preparatory staff have consulted a large number of ancient books to form basic data of about 100000 words, and completed four revisions of the manuscript of the exhibition outline according to experts' opinions. At the same time, with the strong support of Diabolo lovers from all over the country, the museum has collected 458 pieces of diabolo, including 59 single round diabolos, 64 double round diabolos and 345 irregular diabolos. It has also collected nearly 400 photos, gold-plated badges and commemorative stamp albums of the representative inheritors of national intangible cultural heritage.
As the first diabolo themed Museum in Beijing and even in the whole country, the museum will have the characteristics of inheriting folk customs, closing to the community and intangible cultural heritage protection. On the one hand, it is committed to the protection of intangible cultural heritage, on the other hand, it serves the community cultural construction, contributing to the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage and the construction of harmonious community.
Guangnei sub district office, the organizer of Beijing diabolo Museum, has been declared as the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage by the State Council since 2006. It has taken three years to protect and develop diabolo culture through promoting the national essence culture and building a harmonious culture to maintain the emotional ties of the local people, from building a theme square, publishing classics, entering the campus to participating in the exhibition Unparalleled Beijing Olympic Games opening ceremony performance and marathon performance, creatively out of a national intangible cultural heritage project heritage protection road, to promote the heritage protection of intangible cultural heritage project has made outstanding contributions.
In order to make up for the lack of publicity, exhibition and research bearing place of Diabolo culture, and to record the brilliant course of Diabolo culture, Guangnei Street began to demonstrate and prepare to build Beijing diabolo Museum in 2008. After one year's unremitting efforts, Beijing Museum of diabolo, as the research and propaganda site of Diabolo culture, the exhibition site of Diabolo culture evolution and the important bearing site of Xuannan folk culture, finally ushered in the opening ceremony today.
The nature of Beijing diabolo museum is a public welfare Museum. It is a window for inheriting and protecting diabolo culture and displaying geo culture. It is also a development base of regional folk culture and creative industry. Collection
The Palace Museum authorized the reproduction of Diabolo played by Puyi
Among the numerous diabolo collections, there are two large and one small ones. Although they are a little shabby, they are the "treasures of town hall" here. It turns out that they used to be playthings of the last emperor Puyi. Two original pieces of Diabolo are hidden in the Palace Museum and have never been displayed. The pair in the Diabolo museum are authorized copies of the Palace Museum. "Through various relations, we found out that there was a pair of diabolos played by the last emperor in the Forbidden City. We immediately contacted the Forbidden City, hoping to copy the pair of diabolos." A staff member of the museum said that after a long time, there was no news about the Forbidden City. Just two weeks before the opening of the museum, when everyone felt that there was no hope, the Forbidden City responded and agreed to authorize the Diabolo museum to imitate. According to the photos and materials provided by the Palace Museum, the pair of diabolos copied by diabolo master Zhang Guoliang are almost fake, making the people in the capital see the toys of the last emperor for the first time.
Murals of Diabolo in Jinci Temple
Entering the gate of the museum, a picture of a child playing with diabolo on the screen wall is vivid. Xu Jian said that the original shape of the pattern was carved on the lacquer plate of the Ming Yongle red baby opera. In order to find relevant information, they looked up a lot of books, but did not find any information. Later, in the Panjiayuan used book market, I found the detailed information and photos of the lacquer plate. According to these materials, the craftsman enlarged and carved the pattern on the lacquer plate on the screen wall, and copied a lacquer plate for display.
Similar "accidents" include a mural on the wall of the gate. According to reports, this mural was not included in the exhibition list. An expert on diabolo accidentally found a mural showing children shaking diabolo when touring Jinci in Shanxi Province. So he took it with his mobile phone and quickly sent it back to the museum. The cloned mural became an "extra" collection of the museum.
technology
The production technology of bamboo and wood diabolo is closely related to the traditional bamboo and wood technology. Traditional bamboo and diabolo are all made by hand, and the production process is very complicated. Taking the Diabolo made by Zhang Guoliang, the successor of Diabolo production, as an example, there are 17 steps (cutting board, sawing bamboo tube, internal sticking, repairing, sawing bamboo blade, external sticking, grinding, buckle cover, turning, trimming, wrapping hemp, axle, upper axle, gluing, balancing, polishing and painting, decoration). Because of the wide heritage of Diabolo in China, the image, size and name of Diabolo vary from place to place. In the north, diabolo is also known as hollow bell and ring gourd, in the south, it is also known as ring spring, ground cage, buzzer, shaking and turning, etc. Diabolo production technology in Beijing, Tianjin is the most famous.
"Diabolo" museum will use modern multimedia technology, with sound, light, electricity, pictures, animation, short films and other physical objects to cross display the rich content of "Diabolo" for people of different ages. It will become the exhibition center of "Diabolo" culture.
Li Lianyuan, the successor of "Diabolo", the representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage, donated to the museum the stamp album made by Beijing intangible cultural heritage protection center with the photos of the representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage and the gold-plated badge of the representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage. Zhang Guoliang, the representative inheritor of national intangible cultural heritage, also donated "Diabolo" with collection value.
At the same time, Guangnei street of Xuanwu District also announced that the "Diabolo" museum will be collected from all over the world
