Baoyuan terrace

·Baoyuan terrace is about 30 kilometers away from Chishui City. It was first cultivated in the Eastern Han Dynasty and has a history of more than 1900 years.

Baoyuan terrace

Baoyuan terrace is located in Chishui national scenic area, about 30 kilometers away from Chishui City. Terrace scenery is everywhere in the country, but it is rare to set high-grade and large-scale spectacular.

Overlooking from afar, the endless terraces are overlapped and beautiful. The whole terrace is 4-5 km long, 0.8-1 km high (or wide). The average area of each terrace is 3-4 points, and the total area of terrace is about 1500 mu.

Now the forest coverage rate of the whole township is more than 80%. There are often fog and sea of clouds, and there are hundreds of egrets living here. Every year at the end of March of the Gregorian calendar, the terraced fields after irrigation are very spectacular in the sunlight, which is a good creative theme. Every May of the lunar calendar, the green paddy fields are as beautiful as jasper, which is the best time to watch terraces. The terraced fields are surrounded by bamboo groves, which make people feel the vitality of nature. Every breath is in close contact with nature. In July of the lunar calendar, when the rice is ripe, the golden ears of rice cover the whole terrace, and the fragrance of rice comes, farmers begin to be busy harvesting. This season, you can come to see the terraced fields with good harvest.

Baoyuan terrace was first cultivated in the Eastern Han Dynasty and formed in the late Ming Dynasty. It has a history of more than 1900 years. For thousands of years, terraces have always maintained the original style and accumulated the connotation of history and culture. However, due to the remote mountainous area and inconvenient transportation, it has not been developed for a long time. Now it is not a scenic spot, so there is no need for tickets to watch.
