Tianan hall was completed in 1856. Located at No.15 Tian'an lane, Cangshan District, Fuzhou City, it is one of the earliest churches founded by the American Israel Association in Fuzhou and the center of its activities. In the third year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu, the Fuzhou Christian Assembly was established in the church. From the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, many important meetings of the American Israel association were held in this hall. After the Cultural Revolution began in 1966, the church was occupied. After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the religious policy was implemented and the church was returned to the church. On September 1, 1980, the church officially resumed its activities. After its restoration, the church became a meeting place for all denominations, with thousands of believers attending the service. The communion is held on the second Sunday of each month with 300-400 participants. In addition, the church regularly or irregularly holds Christmas service, thanksgiving service, wedding service, funeral service, traffic gathering, choir, visiting group, concert and other activities.
Tian'an Hall
Located at No.15 tiananli, Cangshan District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, Fuzhou Tian'an church is the birthplace of East Asian Methodist Church. In 1847, clergyman Colin and his wife came to Fuzhou from the United States to preach. The next year, clergyman McLean came to Fuzhou one after another, so they built Tianan hall together. After 10 years of preaching activities. In 1869, the first batch of seven deacons were established, which was known as the "seven golden Lighthouse", making Tian'an hall famous at home and abroad. In 1897, pastor Huang Zhiji raised 20000 yuan to expand the church into a church of 1000 people. An important meeting of the Methodist Church was held here. In 1913, Dr. Sun Yat Sen personally attended the church welcome meeting and gave a wonderful speech. The Methodist centenary was held in 1947. Due to historical reasons, Tian'an hall was closed for a time and stopped all activities until 1980. At that time, the hundred year old hall was faced with collapse due to its long history. In 1996, construction began to rebuild, and a ceremony was held on October 30, 1999. The total area of the church is 2300 square meters and the cost is 3 million yuan.
