The former site of the Guangxi Provincial Working Committee of the Communist Party of China was an ancient building Baozhu temple, which was built in the third year of Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty. In the winter of 1944, when Japan invaded Guangxi and Guilin was occupied, the Guangxi Provincial Working Committee moved to Huangyao to work secretly in Baozhu temple in Huangyao ancient town. At that time, He Xiangning, Ouyang Yuqian, qianjiaju, Zhang Xichang and other well-known people evacuated to Huangyao with the Provincial Working Committee.
In order to commemorate this period of history, the people's Government of Guangxi Province designated Baozhu temple as the former site of Guangxi Provincial Working Committee, and listed it as a provincial key cultural relics protection unit and a provincial patriotism education base in 1990. The contents on display in the exhibition hall on the first floor of the side hall record some history at that time.

It was rebuilt in Jiaqing, Daoguang, Guangxu and the early years of the Republic of China. It was dedicated to the northern Emperor, the Tathagata and Guanyin. The temple fair was held on the third day of the third lunar month. In the past, there were more than a dozen monks, including upper and lower halls, brick and wood structures, courtyard style buildings, glass components on the main ridge, hard hilltop, double ear shaped beacon walls, and glass Tile eaves. After the July 9th incident in Guilin in 1942, the working committee of Guangxi Province, with Qian Xing as the Secretary, withdrew to the countryside. In the summer of 1945, it moved to Huangyao Town, Zhaoping County to carry out the revolutionary work with Baozhu temple. At that time, He Xiangning, Ouyang Yuqian, qianjiaju, Zhang Xichang and other patriotic celebrities evacuated to Huangyao with the Provincial Working Committee. In July 1947, the Provincial Working Committee was ordered to withdraw. In 1986, the site of the Guangxi Provincial Working Committee of the Communist Party of China was restored and a statue of Qian Xing was built. In July of the same year, a grand ceremony was held and a memorial hall was opened. In 1994, it was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit at the autonomous region level.

The former site of Guangxi Provincial Working Committee of the Communist Party of China is located in the tourist center of Huangyao ancient town, Zhaoping County, Hezhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, connecting Huangyao stage and Qianxing square, Zuolong temple in the south, residential area in the west, highway in the north, and 1.5km from Huangzhu interchange of Guiwu Expressway in the East. In the summer of 1945, the Provincial Working Committee transferred to Huangyao, Zhaoping, and established the provincial Party organization command center. Qian Xing, Secretary of the Provincial Working Committee, successively dispatched Zhuang Yanlin, Lu mengjian, Zou Bing (alias Chen Meixian), Chen Shuxin, Chen Yinxing, Chen Daliang, Yang Hancheng and Yao Danian to Huangyao middle school and Zhaoping edition of Guangxi daily. Taking Huangyao middle school as the front, the Provincial Working Committee established a branch of Huangyao middle school to carry out Marxist enlightenment education among teachers and students; used the telecommunications of Guangxi daily to understand the development trend of domestic and foreign situations, used newspapers to publicize the party's strategic thinking, and exposed the Kuomintang's policy of playing a solid faction, resisting Japan and actively opposing the Communist Party. We should extensively develop the national united front and promote guerrilla warfare behind enemy lines.
In the late period of the Anti Japanese War, Huang Yao served as the residence of Guangxi Provincial Working Committee, Northern Guangxi Administrative Office, Guangxi Museum of art, Guangxi hospital, Guangxi bank, Hong Kong Columbia film company and other organs and institutions. Qian Xing, Zhang Xichang, He Xiangning, Zhou Kuangren, Ouyang Yuqian, Liang Yiming, Qian Jiaju, Gao Shiqi, Xu Yinchu, Mo naiqun and other party members and cultural celebrities once lived here. Since then, Hong Kong Columbia film company and Kunlun film company have shown the Anti Japanese war films "eight hundred strong men guarding Shanghai together", "people under the iron hoof", "Japanese aggressors' atrocities" and so on. The villagers in Bali, four townships of Huangyao have deeply felt the breath of the anti Japanese war.
Brief introduction of education base
At present, the revolutionary site is well preserved and is open to the outside world as a patriotic education base for young people in Guangxi. In 2014, the people's Government of Zhaoping County renovated and re displayed the former site of Guangxi Provincial Working Committee, including "Guangxi Provincial Working Committee in Huangyao", "ethnic people in Huangyao", "Guangxi youth patriotism education base" and so on.
