Baiyang waterfall
Baiyang waterfall is located at the mouth of the river where the Sanzhan river cuts into the taziqili River (Liwu River). Because the erosion degree of the taziqili river is far greater than that of the Sanzhan River, there is an obvious drop between the river beds, which creates such a spectacular waterfall. The original name here is "Da oulas", which means the towering cliff. Under the severe erosion of taziqili River, the deep and steep terrain has been formed. Geologists call it "digging meandering stream". Some people even give this beautiful place the title of "waitailugeyou gorge". Baiyang waterfall is one of the most accessible scenic spots.
Through the revolving door, the long tunnel implies that the wonderful and expectable journey of poplar is about to begin. The hard mountain walls of the footpath are cut, and all the way along with the valley, the landscape of cliff collapse and deep gorge constantly crisscross, and the tunnels are one after another. The second and fifth tunnels are equipped with solar lighting devices. Tourists can start the lighting facilities in the tunnel by pressing the button at the entrance of the tunnel.
Not long after the sixth tunnel is completed, the roaring sound of water is already on the stage. Outside the entrance of the cave, the Baiyang waterfall falls from the high cliff, from far to near, and finally falls into the taziqili river. "Taiguanchu" has a suspension bridge built here to let tourists get on the sightseeing platform. From this, we can not only see the figure of Baiyang waterfall, but also understand the power of the torrent of tachiqili river.
It takes about 40 minutes from the entrance to Baiyang waterfall. If you go further, you can reach another tunnel in about 5 minutes. Abundant spring water flows down from the top of the tunnel, forming the wonder of water curtain cave.
Take No.8 Provincial Road (Zhongheng highway) from tailuge in Hualien or Dongshi in Taichung. The entrance of shuilian cave is not far from the west of Tianxiang. You need to stop at the roadside and then enter from the entrance of the tunnel.
