Lugang elementary school

In 1895, after the Qing Dynasty ceded Taiwan and Penghu to Japan, Japan introduced the western education system and implemented the modern colonial education in Taiwan, which was the beginning of Taiwan's national education. Instead, Lukang was changed into a branch school, and the school buildings were moved to the Xinzu temple in xingongkou street for classes. In July of the first 14 years of the Republic of China, Decree No. 178 promulgated the "rules of public schools in Taiwan". In August, Decree No. 78 of the governor's office formulated the "rules of public schools". In September, the "Lugang branch of Changhua National Language Institute" was abolished.
