BEIXIANG mountain is located in the north of Longde County, Guyuan City, Ningxia. There is a steep and towering mountain, which is called BEIXIANG mountain because it looks like an elephant and is in the north of the county. BEIXIANG mountain is a natural barrier to the north of Longde County. There is a small river at the foot of the mountain, and Xilan highway goes to the west of Jiahe River from the foot of the mountain. In September 1988, the county people's government decided to build Xiangshan Park.

At the foot of BEIXIANGSHAN mountain, there was a temple of Han and Wei to offer sacrifices to Han Qi, a famous anti Xia general in Song Dynasty. BEIXIANG mountain is a natural barrier to the north of Longde County. Xilan highway runs from the foot of the mountain to the west of Jiahe river.

In August 1935, when the 25th commander of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army passed through Longde County, he seized this high mountain 2313 meters above sea level, quickly attacked the county and annihilated the enemy.

In 1980, the county people's government built a "BEIXIANGSHAN martyrs cemetery" with an area of 14 mu in Xiangshan. It is a quiet place, where lie the martyrs of Li Youlu, the old Red Army, Zhang Baojiang and Zhang Xinxue, who died in the counterattack in the front line of Laoshan.

Now, every holiday and summer evening, people climb mountains in groups to enjoy the natural scenery and thousands of lights in Longde County. BEIXIANG mountain is located 4 km northeast of yaohuamen, slightly square, about 1 km long and 1 km wide. The main peak is about 807 meters above sea level. The northeast is about 1km away from Qixia Temple, which is like the gatekeepers of Qixia Temple. It is mainly composed of arkose, siltstone and shale of Xiangshan Group. There are sparse forests in mountainous areas. In the north of Longde City, there is a steep and towering mountain, which is named BEIXIANG mountain because it looks like an elephant and is in the north of the county.

There is a Xiangshan Park in BEIXIANGSHAN. At the end of the year, it has a archway gate and stone steps. It goes up the steps and turns to the top. Two pavilions were built beside the road for visitors to rest and view. There is Hongfa temple on the hillside. There is a pavilion built on the top of the mountain, which says: "watch thousands of households every day and enjoy thousands of lights at night.". There are pines, cypresses and peaches on the mountain. In spring, peach blossom is in full bloom, like thousands of rosy clouds lingering in the mountains. It's really: "sparse rain, light wind, light clouds, chirping branches, singing Orioles and cuckoos. Several branches of green cypresses cover the pavilion, and ten thousand red clouds dye the elephant mountain. " In summer, it is green and shady, and its sound is up and down. People in groups, walking in the shade, cool leisure, overlooking, enjoy the natural scenery, comfortable extraordinary.
