Lianhua Mountain, formerly known as "shishitou", is an ancient quarry. It is named after the stone left after quarrying looks like lotus flower. As far back as the Western Han Dynasty, the ancestors mined stones on a large scale here, forming cliffs, strange rocks and caves, such as Lianhua stone, yanziyan, Baxian rock, Lianhua rock, Guanyin rock, Feiying rock, Nantianmen, Shenxian bridge, etc. It is not only made by ancient people with one hammer and one fiber, but also has experienced more than 2000 years of natural weathering. The gold statue of Wanghai Guanyin, built in 1994, is 40.88 meters high. It is made of 120 tons of bronze and pasted with 180 taels of gold. It is the highest open-air Guanyin statue in the world at present. It is a famous art treasure at home and abroad. Lotus city has been built into a camp imitating the Qing Dynasty. Visitors can enjoy the magnificent and vast scenery of the Pearl River.
