Ma Maozhuang tombs
Mamaozhuang tombs, the distribution of about 2 square kilometers. In the winter of 1990, Shanxi Provincial Institute of archaeology excavated three tombs of Han Dynasty stone reliefs for the first time, and 42 pieces of Han Dynasty stone reliefs were unearthed.
In the spring of 1993, three Han Dynasty stone relief tombs were cleared and 17 Han Dynasty stone relief tombs were unearthed. In the same year, the left surface Tomb of mamaozhuang was excavated after being washed by the flood. A total of 6 pieces of Han Dynasty stone statues were collected.

The mamaozhuang tombs are located in the west of mamaozhuang village, Chengguan Town, Lishi City, West Central Shanxi Province, covering an area of about 2 square kilometers.
Age: most of the tombs were in the Eastern Han Dynasty.
Tomb structure
Tombs are generally 2-5 meters away from the surface of the earth, with single room, two room, three room and multi room tombs. Most of them are stone tombs. The tomb is of brick and stone structure, and the relief stones are generally distributed at the door of the tomb or on the four walls of the front chamber. The details of the portrait are outlined with ink lines, and then the outer substrate of the portrait is removed to make the portrait convex and enhance the visual effect. The contents of the portraits include myths, historical stories, architecture, singing, dancing, banqueting, hunting, riding and so on. Some of the stone reliefs also bear chronological inscriptions.

The internal structure of the stone tomb is detailed. The portrait stone tomb is divided into two areas: the South and the north. The six Han Dynasty stone relief tombs excavated are all from the north. There are four tombs to the south, one to the West and one to the north, and they are not far apart.
All of the tombs are of brick and stone mixed structure, and have long slope paths (two of which have a small chamber near the door of the tomb). Except for a single chamber tomb excavated in the spring of 1993, the rest of the tombs are front chamber and back chamber tombs (the larger one has one or two ear chambers attached to the front chamber). The inner walls of the chambers are straight or slightly curved. The outside of the tomb was sealed with staggered bricks. The passageways are parallel vaulted, the front chambers of the tomb are vaulted, and the back chambers and ear chambers are also vaulted or vaulted. The floor of the tomb is mainly vertical herringbone shaped floor tiles, and there are also staggered horizontal tile floors.
main features
Among the six Han Dynasty stone tombs mentioned above, each tomb must have five stone reliefs at the gate, namely, lintel stone, two side frame stone and two door leaf stone. The content of the stone carvings at the door of the tomb is extremely stable and simple, that is, on the lintel are carvings showing the official rank of the tomb owner before his death; on the doorframe stones on both sides are carvings of the prince of the East, the queen of the west, and the doorman holding shield and comet; on the two door leaves are carvings of the rosefinch spreading its wings and spreading its head.
