temple
Shanglin temple, which dynasty it was first built with, is not known. It flourished in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. It was built to commemorate Qu Yuan's visit to this place (Qu Yuan's fifth daughter died in Xiawan kiln, and later generations built "Wuniang Temple"), formerly known as Shanglin Taoist temple. The existing stone tablet of "Shanglin Taoist temple" in the Han Dynasty is a Taoist place. At the end of Tang Dynasty, it was renamed as "Shanglin Temple" and became a Buddhist place. At the end of Qing Dynasty, it was renamed as "Shanglin Temple". According to legend, the monks in the temple once restored the sight of Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, and cured the deep sickness for emperor Hongwu of the Ming Dynasty. Therefore, they were granted imperial titles and became famous both in the government and the public. For thousands of years, incense has been flourishing. In the autumn of 1943, the Japanese burned Shanglin temple to the ground, and the Cultural Revolution was devastated again. The restored Shanglin temple has a grand scale, with a total of five platforms, including Mountain Gate, Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall, shuotang, Abbot's room, sutra collection hall, Sansheng hall, reception hall, Qianshou Guanyin hall, Jialan hall, Zen hall, Zhaitang, Hakka hall, ancestral hall, bell and Drum Tower, Jushi building and other main buildings, as well as release pool, merit tablet, pavilion Gallery and other ancillary buildings, red walls, yellow tiles, cornices, angle, antique, set off in the forest, attracted many visitors
It is said that during the founding of the Tang Dynasty, because of the war, Emperor Taizong Li Shimin led his troops to fight in the south. He was seriously injured by an arrow in his right eye. In today's Jiulang mountain, he met three disciples of Shi xiqian, Huai rang and Huai Si, as well as six doctors Zheng, Jiang, Wang, Li, Tang and Yin. Due to his excellent medical skills, Li Shimin soon recovered from his eye injury and returned to the capital triumphantly. He sent people to visit nine benefactors for many times, but they were missing He ordered the construction of a temple to show his nostalgia, named it "Jiulang Temple", and drew up a couplet: the first couplet is "distant water connecting heaven", and the second couplet is "mountains bow down". In the Jiulang mountain scenic area, there used to be Shixian temple, Jiulong temple, Daoxian temple, Longwang temple, chuanwan temple and other relics, all of which have been popular for thousands of years.
history
It is said that at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, before the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang (named Hongwu), led an army to set up camp in today's "Hongwu village" in Dachong village, hoarding grain and training troops to fight against the Yuan Dynasty. At that time, Zhu Yuanzhang organized the construction of city walls and trenches, and set up a training ground on the hillside of Jiulang mountain. After the emperor's robe was added to Zhu Yuanzhang's body, people here changed the name of maple village to "Hongwu village" in memory of him. Today, as long as you are in Hongwu village, you can still see the city walls, trenches and commanding platforms left behind. It seems that you can also appreciate the awe inspiring style of Zhu Yuanzhang's "ordering soldiers in the autumn on the battlefield" that year.

The water of Jiulang mountain is quite spiritual. The water area of the whole scenic spot is 210 mu, with Jiapo reservoir, Tangtang reservoir, shibikou reservoir, bajiaochong reservoir, yuanjiachong reservoir and jiutangcun hanpo reservoir in between. Overlooking the peak, the landscape is complementary, and embroidery is added to the brocade. Jiulang mountain is also rich in groundwater. There is a mountain spring on the north and south sides of the mountain. It is crystal clear, sweet and refreshing. It is rich in more than 20 kinds of minerals that are beneficial to human health.
forest district
The forest area of Jiulang mountain is 10200 mu, including 7100 mu of Chinese fir, 800 mu of bamboo forest, 500 mu of Pinus tabulaeformis, 300 mu of Camellia oleifera, 200 mu of camphor, 200 mu of Catalpa and 1100 mu of mixed forest. The air in the forest area is fresh, cool and fragrant. As early as ten years ago, some old workers of Zhuhua, Zhuye and Xiangtan got up at dawn, brought their own dry food, went here, or took a walk in the woods, or rested on the ground, left early and came back late, and forgot to return. They regarded this place as a good place for summer exercise. Their complacent attitude is really enviable.
SHORTS
There are strange rocks on the ridge of Jiulang peak: climbing like a turtle, running like a rabbit, roaring like a lion, lying like a tiger, and a thousand strange shapes. There is a strange wind on the southwest hillside, which is formed by air convection: the wind blows like a whistle, the wind blows like a flute, and the sounds of nature are absolutely interesting, which is the so-called "wind at the mouth of the stone wall". The Jiapo reservoir at the foot of the mountain has a strange cave on the back slope, which can hold more than 1000 people. It has not yet been proved and needs to be developed. In addition, Swan Lake, fairy feeding, chicken coop hanging on the wall, monkey stone, fairy pond and so on are both in shape and spirit.
