Development history
During the period of the Republic of China, Sichuan warlords Liu Chengxun, Liu Xiang and Liu Wenhui were all from Dayi. They believed that Zhao Zilong's great contributions made Dayi a "county of Shu" with outstanding people. There were three military commanders, four division commanders and nine brigade commanders in one county Every year when they returned to their hometown, they would come to worship the general temple, or donate money for cultivation, or cast gold plaques and hang them in the temple to show their respect.
In July 1926, the Guangzhou National Revolutionary government appointed Liu Xiang as commander of the 21st army, Liu Chengxun as commander of the 23rd army, and Liu Wenhui as commander of the 24th army. On the fifteenth day of the first month of the next year, during the period of Zilong temple fair, they sent a gold plaque for Zhao Zilong.
Liu Chengxun, a veteran of the revolution of 1911, was known as "Liu shuixuan". He sent people to send him a gold plaque, which read "longevity examination of the name of the emperor".
At the age of 28, Liu Xiang became a military commander, nicknamed "Ba gecko" and "Liu mangzi", and the gold plaque he gave was "heroic spirit Yingguang". Liu Wenhui, nicknamed "Taoist Duobao", sent a gold plaque "huweiyong town". The plaque of Liu Chengxun is on the top of the statue of Zhao Zilong in the main hall.
Liu Xiang asked someone to move the plaque behind the statue and put on his own. Liu Chengxun was so angry that he threatened to smash Liu Xiang's plaque that he was persuaded by the chief of staff.
Liu Wenhui's gold plaque couldn't find a good place to hang, so he sent someone to take a message to his nephew Liu Xiang, asking him to move. Liu Xiang did not agree. Liu Wenhui scolded Liu Xiang, and the chief bodyguard advised him to calm down. His gold plaque was hung on the beam in the middle of the main hall, facing the gold plaque of "heroic spirit and Yingguang", facing the mountain gate, and confronting Liu Xiang.
After thousands of years of vicissitudes, the Zilong temple in Dayi was restored and rebuilt after the Wenchuan earthquake.

Changshan Zhending people (now Zhengding County, Hebei Province)... ". The inscription describes in detail the beautiful legend of building Zilong temple and Zilong's life.
historical background
In 1661, Zheng Chenggong led his troops to drive away the Dutch and conquer Taiwan. Lin Liushu from Tong'an County, Fujian Province, was assigned to cultivate dongshiliao (today's Zilong Temple).
In 1691 A.D., a villager Lin Tinglong fished in a nearby stream and found a piece of camphor wood floating in the stream. After driving into the stream for many times, he still couldn't move back. He picked up the camphor wood and found that the wood had been bitten by termites into "Changshan zhaozilong". The villagers sighed that it was a wonder. They felt that the gods intended to protect all living beings. So they built a Cao Liao to worship it and burned it sooner or later Incense worship.
Soon after, a stranger came here, claiming to be a sculptor from Quanzhou, Fujian Province. He claimed that he had come here to carve the gold body in the dream of General Zhao. The villagers decided to carve two statues of Zhao Yun, the big dragon and the second dragon, from this camphor wood. It has been more than 300 years since then.
The two statues of Zhao Yun showed great power and enlightened the villagers with the Holy Spirit. All the villagers took this as their spiritual sustenance and alleviated the pain of homesickness.
During the reign of Emperor Qianlong, Lin Qiu, a villager, saw that caoliniao was decadent. He gathered his fellow villagers to raise money to build the temple. When the temple was completed in the 20th year of Emperor Qianlong, on the auspicious day of October of the same year, he invited the marshal of Zhao's house to settle down in the temple. Because Zhao Yun was once canonized as "Marquis of Yongchang Pavilion" by Liu Chan, the temple was named Yongchang palace, also known as Zilong temple. Since then, the original name of dongshiliao village has been officially changed to Zilong temple, which is the only village in Taiwan with the name of Zhao Zilong.
It is said that the marshal of the Zhao family was very powerful at that time. He responded to every request and protected the villagers. Therefore, the village was very prosperous, and the temples were rebuilt on a large scale. Temples and shrines from all over the world
