The Soviet Red Army Martyrs Park is located between the first street and the second street in the east of the North District of Manzhouli City, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, covering an area of two hectares. On August 9, 1945, the Soviet Red Army liberated Manzhouli. In order to commemorate the Soviet Red Army who died in this battle, a memorial tower and a martyrs' cemetery were built in November of the same year, and the former Park of Manzhouli City was renamed the park of Red Army martyrs.
Memorial Tower
Located in the center of the park, the Red Army martyrs memorial tower is 17.19 meters high and decorated with a huge copper five-star on the top. The whole body of the tower is made of chiseled and polished granite, and the three sides of the base are piled with iron blue gravel, adding a kind of solemn atmosphere. A square stone in the middle of the tower is engraved with "glory always belongs to the heroes who died for the honor and victory of the Soviet Union" in Russian. On the top of it is inlaid with a relief of the image of the Red Army advancing with a high flag. On the back of the tower is engraved: "here are the martyrs who died for the honor of the Soviet Union.". The left and right sides of the tower are inlaid with reliefs of the Soviet Red Army fighting bravely and the names of 56 officers and soldiers at all levels headed by major toropov.
This monument records the unforgettable history of more than half a century ago. At every major festival, people will present bouquets of flowers and wreaths to express their grief and respect for the martyrs who died for world peace.
Cemetery of martyrs
The cemetery is located in the southwest of the park. There are two meter high tombstones and four groups of tombstones covered with copper plates. On the front of the tombstone is engraved: "here are the heroes who died in the war against Japanese imperialism. The motherland will never forget your contributions." On the back of the monument is engraved: "monument to the warriors who fought against Japan from August 9 to 19, 1945." The names of the martyrs are engraved on the bronze plates of the four groups of martyrs' tombs.
