Jinan liberation Memorial Hall

The Jinan liberation war is of great significance in the war history of our country. In order to commemorate this great victory forever and remember the martyrs, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Jinan, the martyrs' deeds exhibition room of Jinan revolutionary martyrs cemetery was expanded into Jinan liberation Memorial Hall.

Jinan liberation memorial hall should have the characteristics of a history museum, an important patriotic education base with local characteristics, and a cultural and educational place to provide knowledge and art appreciation to the masses. The memorial hall is built in Jiefang Pavilion, located in the center of Jinan City. It is based on the Castle Peak. The building has a large scale and the design is solemn and majestic. Historically, it looks like a revolutionary cultural relic, and its display content and form are more unique.

Jinan liberation Memorial Hall

Located in the southeast corner of the original Jinan ancient city wall. The site of the pavilion is the breakthrough of the PLA's capture of Jinan in 1948. When the old city wall was demolished for urban construction, the people of Jinan built a magnificent Jiefangge on the old city site to commemorate the liberation of Jinan. In 1965, a 10 meter high stone platform was built, which was later stopped due to the cultural revolution. It was built on the stage in 1985 and completed on September 24, 1986.

From the West platform of gexi, we can see the "Jiefangge" inscribed by Chen Yi and the "Jinan liberation Memorial" inscribed by Chi Haotian. The monument of revolutionary martyrs in the battle of liberation of Jinan, written in regular script by Zhu XueDa, a calligrapher in Jinan, stands on the east side of the platform. On the west side of the platform is the monument of Jiefangge built by Wuzhong, a Jinan calligrapher, which was established by Jinan Municipal People's Government in September 1986. Climb 61 steps and enter the hall at the bottom of the pavilion after 50% discount. In the center of the hall stands a group of tall sculptures, the heroes of the Jinan campaign, surrounded by the revolutionary relics of the Jinan campaign. There are eight groups of grey marble reliefs on the outer wall of the hall, which reflect the Jinan campaign scene. The picture is vivid, the style is vigorous, and the content is rich and profound. From the platform base on the north side of the pavilion, there are 44 steps up to the second floor. The internal display introduces the development of Jinan after liberation. Surrounded by white marble guardrails, you can watch the surrounding scenery: West of the pavilion, the water is shining, the stone forest is showing, and the pavilions and pavilions are looming; north of the pavilion, the gardens of spring, summer, autumn and winter on the moat are like pearls inlaid on the green ribbon; looking south, the mountains of Thousand Buddhas, Buddha wisdom and Huixian are green and magnificent.

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Jinan in 2008, Jinan city invested in the renovation of Jinan liberation memorial hall, comprehensively transformed the exhibition form, and officially opened it to visitors free of charge.
