Shuiguantai is located in the southeast of Chuanhui District, Zhoukou City, Henan Province. The site is a high platform, 7.8 meters high, 110 meters long from north to south, 70 meters wide from east to west, covering an area of 7700 square meters. The site is a collection of cultural layers and has not been excavated so far. From the cliff, there are five red burnt earth surfaces, ash pits and tombs. There are many cultural relics left behind. Only the pottery pots of Longshan period, flat conical triangle tripod, duck beak tripod, bowl holder, pottery bowls, pottery pots and pottery pots of Shang Dynasty are found.

history
There are few historical legends and records about shuiguantai. It is said that its original name is guanshuitai. Dayu opened the Jiuhe River to control the flood. He built a platform here to observe the water phenomenon, but when it was changed to shuiguantai is unknown. According to the records of Taiping Huanyu, Deng AI, the Wei general, built an irrigation city on the guanshui platform during the Three Kingdoms period. It is said that during the Three Kingdoms period, Wei general Deng AI took Xichuan to train his troops and build an irrigation city on the irrigation platform. There were water temple and fire temple on shuiguantai. The water god temple worships the king of Xia and Dayu, while the fire Temple worships the fire god Zhu Rong.
Shuiguantai is one of the most well preserved and abundant large-scale ancient cultural sites in Henan Province. Shuiguantai was established as a municipal key cultural relic unit in 1978, and was approved as the third batch of provincial key cultural relic units in 2000. In 2011, it was declared as a national key cultural relic protection unit, and initially passed the acceptance of the expert group.
