Fangshan is located in Jiangyang District of Luzhou City, 16 kilometers away from Luzhou City, covering an area of more than 20 square kilometers. Fangshan in Luzhou is a famous mountain in Sichuan. In the Han Dynasty, Fangshan was honored as Hangao (the highland beside the water in the Han Dynasty); in the Tang Dynasty, Fangshan was nicknamed "xiaozhongnanshan"; in the Qing Dynasty, Fangshan was honored as "ebantang" and "xiaoemei"; moreover, because it stands on the Bank of the Yangtze River and is surrounded by clouds and fog all the year round, it has won the nickname of "Yunfeng" among the people.

Fangshan Mountain is composed of 99 peaks. From all sides, it is square and magnificent. Xueji peak, the highest point of Fangshan Mountain, is 649 meters above sea level. It is not high, but with the foreshadowing of shallow hills and low mountains, it has the potential to rise high. The main body of Fangshan is composed of the sandstone of the Cretaceous Guankou formation, which is bright red and eye-catching. The Danshan mountain and the blue water complement each other. Fangshan is like a castle, standing on the gentle hills and flat dams around it. There are "Gates" in all directions: Buddhism gate in the East, Guanyin gate in the west, Taiji gate in the South and lailongmen gate in the north. The subtropical evergreen coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest grows here, with luxuriant trees and good soil and water conservation. There are nine famous mountain springs on the mountain, which flow continuously all the year round. They are called "Jiulong tushui". Now Yiping lake has been built and named "Tianchi Lake".

Bodaoling is a mountain peak shaped like a kitchen knife. It is the best place to view the sea of clouds. Yunfeng temple is located on the south slope of Fangshan Mountain. It is majestic and magnificent. Yunfeng temple was first built in the sixth year of Tianbao in Tang Dynasty, and now there are old temple houses, Mountain Gate lions, Xianfeng stone, Huiyu stone, Tingquan, huizhichi, etc. Xinyunfeng temple is located at the foot of Zizhu peak in Fangshan, which is well preserved.

Looking up from the foot of the mountain, the surface of Fangshan is square, like an altar for worshiping heaven. Walking into the mountain, there are more than 1500 mu of ancient trees, green and verdant, and clouds all day long; tens of thousands of ancient Zhennan trees support the strength of Fangshan; dozens of mu of green bamboos shake the charm of Fangshan; evergreen pines and cypresses on the top of the mountain are the immortal rings of Fangshan.

Listen to the mountain spring in the spring pool, and know that the trickle in the pool is the pulse of Fangshan. Huxi River, which runs around Fangshan day and night to the Yangtze River, is the life of Fangshan.

The Buddha flourishes because of the mountain, and the mountain is famous for the Buddha. Since ancient times, there have been many ancient temples in famous mountains, and Fangshan is no exception. It is said that Emperor Guangwu of Han dynasty built orchid temple in Fangshan, Emperor Ming of Tang dynasty built old Yunfeng temple in Fangshan, new Yunfeng temple was added in Song Dynasty, Huxi bridge was rebuilt as Yinglong bridge in Qing Dynasty, and large stone memorial archway was added outside the mountain gate.

Qin MI, a famous official of the Shu Han Dynasty, wrote a inscription on bodaoling mountain in Fangshan, praising its danger. Emperor Jianwen chose the mountain to build his palace. He once went to Xueji mountain in Fangshan to count the origin of ninety-nine peaks

In the long history of Fangshan, there are traces of emperors and generals, poems of poets and poets, and the prosperity of Buddhism and Taoism.
