Research on Sun Tzu
The study of Sun Tzu in Guangrao County can be traced back to the early period of last century. In the 1918 edition of the annals of Le'an county (renamed Guangrao County in February 1914 due to its duplicate name with that of Le'an County in Jiangxi Province) and the 1936 edition of the annals of renewed Guangrao County, there are records about the study of Sun Tzu. Since then, there have been amateurs engaged in research and writing books. In the early 1990s, Guangrao County set off a climax of research on Sun Tzu. In June 1991, Guangrao County set up the Sun Tzu Research Center, which has an office (department level institution, with 7 staff). Under the leadership of the county Party committee and government, and the guidance and support of relevant academic groups, university research institutions, experts, scholars and researchers, Guangrao County actively carried out Sun Tzu research, publicity and application, and made a series of remarkable achievements.

On April 21-24, the "ground investigation and demonstration meeting of pre Qin state of Qi in Le'an" was held, which concluded that "the main body of pre Qin state of Qi in Le'an is now Guangrao County", and preliminarily identified that the old city of Qi'an is today's "Caoqiao site", which promoted the textual research of Sun Wu's hometown.
