Fushun Museum generally refers to Fushun Museum
Fushun museum is the largest social and historical museum with rich collections in Fushun area, formerly known as the Fushun cultural relics team established in 1959. In 1973, Fushun museum was officially established. In 1979, the museum was moved to No. 17, Nanchang Road, Pingshan street, Dongzhou District, Fushun City. The Museum covers an area of 115000 square meters. The three-dimensional building is a three-story brick concrete geometric building of 1100 square meters built in 1983.
Development history
On April 5, 1951, to commemorate the victims of Pingdingshan, Fushun City decided to build a "monument of Pingdingshan martyrs" on Pingdingshan. In the summer of 1970, the Pingdingshan Massacre Site was excavated, and a museum was built on the site to protect the unearthed remains and cultural relics.
In 1988, the Pingdingshan Massacre Site was announced as a national key cultural relic protection unit. In 2004, the Pingdingshan Massacre Memorial Hall was listed as a national list of 100 red tourism classic scenic spots. In 2006, it was announced as a national patriotic education demonstration base.
At midnight on September 15, 1932 (the Mid Autumn Festival on August 15 of the lunar calendar), Liaodong people's self-defense army attacked the Japanese occupiers in Fushun mine in three ways and dealt a heavy blow to the enemy.
The Japanese aggressors, who suffered a heavy blow, sent out soldiers and police on the morning of the 16th to drive nearly 3000 men, women and children from Pingdingshan village to the foot of the mountain for mass slaughter, on the ground that the villagers did not report when the self-defense forces attacked them through Pingdingshan village, Lijiagou Village and qianjinbao village. Then they went to Lijiagou village and qianjinbao village and brutally killed more than 200 villagers who had not had time to escape, The Pingdingshan massacre shocked China and foreign countries.
Collection
There are more than 2000 pieces of cultural relics in the museum, which are divided into 11 categories: pottery, porcelain, copper and iron, stone tools, weapons, jewelry and jade, gold and silver, bamboo and wood, leather, cotton wool, bone clam, calligraphy and painting. Most of the collections are unearthed in this area. The cultural relics of Qing Dynasty account for a considerable proportion in the collection of cultural relics.

archaeological discovery
In October 2000, a resident of Shijia street, Shuncheng District, Fushun City discovered the tomb group. In November of that year, an archaeological team composed of Provincial Institute of cultural relics and Archaeology and Fushun City Museum excavated the tomb group. The tombs are located on the hillside to the north of Fushun health school to Fushun normal school, 1.5km away from gaoershan mountain city in the West. They are divided into East and west districts, with more than 100 late Gaogouli tombs distributed.
In the No.1 square earth sealed chamber tomb, archaeologists found murals on the East, West and North walls. The whole picture was divided into two parts by an ink belt 90cm from the bottom of the tomb. The murals on the north wall are well preserved. Some of the characters on the murals drag the floor in long skirts, some wear short clothes and pants with lanterns. The details of the clothes and the figure's outline, face and body are outlined with fine ink lines, and then filled with red, yellow, black and other colors. On the north side of the upper part of the west wall is a picture of lotus. On the north side of the upper part of the east wall is a picture of martial arts. You can see a man dancing a sword. On the picture is a mountain peak.
A few years ago, Gaogouli Mural Tombs were excavated in micanggou of Huanren Manchu Autonomous County. The excavation of these Mural Tombs is of great value to the study of ancient Gaogouli folk culture. In the Gaogouli tombs in Shijia, archaeologists have cleared 43 Gaogouli tombs and unearthed a number of important cultural relics, such as gold earrings, gold covered copper earrings, silver hairpin, silver ring, copper belt ornaments, bracelets, iron mirrors, iron knives, coffin nails, pottery bowls and so on.
