Jiangxi Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall
Jiangxi is an old base rich in glorious revolutionary tradition. For more than half a century, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the people of Jiangxi have waged a long and arduous struggle for the victory of the new democratic revolution and the socialist revolution, made great sacrifices and made outstanding contributions. According to incomplete statistics, more than 253000 martyrs died for the revolution in the whole province, accounting for about one sixth of the total number of martyrs in the country.
In order to praise the great achievements of the revolutionary martyrs, in July 1952, with the approval of the people's Government of Jiangxi Province, it was decided to build the memorial hall of the revolutionary martyrs in Jiangxi Province. Jiangxi Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall is located in the east of the middle section of Bayi Avenue in the center of Nanchang, covering an area of more than 17000 square meters. The main building in the hall was completed on April 19, 1954 and officially opened to the public on October 1, 1957. In 1978, 1997 and 2005, we carried out three times of comprehensive display renovation. There are 2412 martyrs' archives, more than 4100 martyrs' photos and more than 1500 revolutionary cultural relics in the museum.
Since the opening of Jiangxi Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall, it has received more than 10 million visitors from home and abroad, including more than 2000 foreign guests from more than 70 countries and regions. Party and state leaders Zhu De, Dong Biwu, Xie Jueya, Peng Dehuai, Zeng Qinghong and others have come to visit the hall and inscribed poems and inscriptions. In October 1986, it was named as the first batch of "national key martyr memorial building protection units" by the State Council; in 2005, it was named as the third batch of "national patriotism education demonstration bases" by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee; in December 2009, it was named as "the first batch of national defense education demonstration bases" by the national defense education office. It is the "patriotic education base" and "national defense education base" named by the Ministry of civil affairs, Jiangxi provincial Party committee and provincial government of the Communist Party of China, Nanchang municipal Party committee and municipal government of the Communist Party of China, the "civilized service demonstration window unit" of Jiangxi civil affairs system, the "provincial civilized unit" and the provincial "garden unit".
Introduction to auditorium
Located in the north section of Bayi Avenue, Jiangxi Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall was built in 1952. There is a statue of a Red Army soldier in the center of the square in front of the memorial hall. Jiangxi Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall integrates ideological, educational, artistic and participatory features. The hall has a front hall, a preface hall and six exhibition halls, with an exhibition line of about 700 meters. According to the order of the revolutionary history period, the whole exhibition is divided into 6 parts and 10 special topics. The large-scale reliefs in the front hall are shaped by flame, which means that a single spark of revolutionary struggle can start a prairie fire. Freehand brushwork shows the indomitable and heroic spirit of Jiangxi people. The number of martyrs killed in Jiangxi Province is highlighted by the "about 250000" figure of the central government. The exhibition hall has changed the single display method in the past, adding multimedia, projection, phantom imaging, scene restoration, sand table model, TV, touch screen and other high-tech acousto-optic display means.

In the front hall, a group of large relief sculptures are made of copper, about tens of meters long and six or seven meters high, depicting the scene of a group of revolutionary martyrs' initial struggle. The relief adopts freehand brushwork. The whole group of relief is like a burning flame. In the middle of the relief is engraved with several bronze numbers of "250000", representing the 250000 martyrs who died in Jiangxi for the revolutionary struggle, accounting for one sixth of the martyrs who died in China.

The preface hall is a large main sculpture (including pedestal) seven or eight meters high. It is engraved with the images of workers, farmers, soldiers, students and businessmen. Behind it is a circular facility, which uses acousto-optic technology to symbolize a round of "red sun", implying that the Chinese revolution will flourish from a spark to a red sun.
