On the morning of April 29, 1952, there was a big bang in the Hongkou Park of Shanghai. The commander of the Japanese invaders, general Shirakawa Yize, who was celebrating the Tianchang Festival, was killed immediately, and the envoy to China, Chong guangkui, was injured. Yin Fengji, a member of the Korean patriotic regiment, was arrested. After the incident, Kim Jeou, the leader of the independent provisional government of South Korea in exile in Shanghai, was hunted by the Japanese army with a heavy reward. At this time, Jin Jiu received sympathy and assistance from Chinese progressive figures such as Chu Fucheng and Yin ruli. Before and after May 20, under the arrangement of Chu Fucheng, Jin Jiu and an gonggen were escorted by Yan Hengfan from Shanghai to Jiaxing by train. They first settled in Xiulun silk factory on the Bank of Southwest lake, and soon moved to the home of Chen Tongsheng, Chu Fucheng's son.
Chen house on Meiwan Street (now 76 Meiwan Street) was built in the early years of the Republic of China. It has two rooms, two floors, three entrances, and later entrances, reaching Hebu. It is a small waterside pavilion style building. This "waterside pavilion" is Chen Tongsheng's living room. Sitting in front of the window, you can see the four seasons scenery on the lake. When Chen Tongsheng was running a small farm outside the south gate, Chang Jinjiu came and gave up the "waterside pavilion" to Jin Jiu. I wish Chen Tongsheng would come home from the farm every day and have a chat with Jin Jiu. Jin Jiu took refuge in Jiaxing from May 1932 to February 1936, when the provisional government moved to Nanjing.
Jinjiu's Refuge
In the refuge of Jin Jiu, a bronze bust of Mr. Jin Jiu is placed, displaying separate photos of Jin Jiu and Chu Fucheng as well as group photos of Jin Jiu and Chen Tongsheng.

origin
During this period, he was escorted to Haiyan by Chu Fu's daughter-in-law, Ms. Zhu Jiarui, and lived for a few days in the South and North Lake Villa of Zhu's mother's house. When Jin Jiu was in Jiaxing, he lived in Dongta temple outside the east gate and yanjiabang outside the south gate. Later, for the sake of safety, he was supported by a boatman named Zhu Aibao, who lived and ate in the boat and drifted between the canal and Yuanshui. In May 1996, "Jinjiu refuge" was restored (at the same time, house 17 of Rihui bridge was restored). A bronze bust of Mr. Jin Jiu is placed in the "refuge of Jin Jiu", displaying separate photos of Jin Jiu and Chu Fucheng, as well as group photos of Jin Jiu and Chen Tongsheng. In 1996, the South Korean government decided to award Chu Fucheng the "Republic of Korea founding Medal" in view of the meritorious service of Chu Fucheng, Jin Jiu and other South Korean independence activists, and held a grand ceremony in Jiaxing on September 30 of the same year. On January 4, 1997, Kim Shin, Kim Jeou's successor, came to Jiaxing again from South Korea and led his family to 76 Mui Wan Street to see Kim Jeou's refuge.
