Hainan Jianling Provincial Nature Reserve was established on September 25, 1981 with the approval of Hainan Administrative Region Office (Haihang No. 151 document). Beida town is located in Wanning City in the southeast of Hainan Island, with Longgun town in the East, Changfeng town in the south, Shangxi Provincial Nature Reserve in the West and Huishan town in Qionghai City in the north. The total area is 10923 hectares.

The main protected objects of the reserve are the forest ecosystem composed of tropical lowland rain forest and seasonal rain forest, as well as the rare and endangered wildlife and natural landscape resources distributed in the reserve.

Historical evolution

Hainan Jianling Provincial Nature Reserve was established on September 25, 1981 with the approval of Hainan Administrative Region Office (Haihang No. 151 document). In 2012, it was renamed as Hainan Jianling Provincial Nature Reserve Management Station with the approval of Hainan Provincial Government (qiongbian ban Document No. 241), and its organization level is at the section level.

Regional scope

Located in the range of 110 ° 11 ′ 26 ″ - 110 ° 23 ′ 12 ″ E and 18 ° 47 ′ 37 ″ - 19 ° 02 ′ 15 ″ n, it is located in Beida town of Wanning City in the southeast of Hainan Island, with Longgun town in the East, Changfeng town in the south, Shangxi Provincial Nature Reserve in the west, Huishan town in Qionghai City in the north, and 47 mountain ranges including niujiaoling, kanhailing, niujiaojianling, HUANGZHULING and tongtianluoling The forest area is 10923 hectares. The altitude ranges from 50m to 805m, southwest to northeast, and the southwest is on the high side.

Management measures

There are five management and protection stations under the management station: houlang management and protection station, Huangshan management and protection station, Wangdao management and protection station, Shanjia management and protection station and Jiangqian management and protection station.

2： In 2005, the central level ecological public welfare forest was established, and the planned central level ecological public welfare forest area of Hainan Jianling Provincial Nature Reserve is 6564 hectares.

3： In 2007, the provincial ecological public welfare forest was established, and the planned area of Jianling Provincial Nature Reserve in Hainan Province is 4521 hectares.
