In Lingshu febing, it is also called Benchi and tongueben, belonging to renmai. Located in the upper part of the larynx, when the upper edge of the hyoid bone depression, in the upper part of the hyoid bone, deep epiglottis, below the larynx, there are thyrohyoid muscle, tongue muscle, anterior superficial jugular vein, thyroid artery and vein; there are cervical cutaneous nerve, deep hypoglossal nerve branches. Indications: sublingual swelling and pain, slow salivation, apoplexy, aphasia, breast moth, dysphagia, atrophy of tongue muscle. The operation method is to stab 0.5-0.8 inch to the base of tongue.

Definition of name

The tongue is Lian, which also refers to angular shape; the liquid is spring. Because there is a throat on the acupoint, which is angular in shape, and it is under the tongue. Sometimes there is body fluid, which is still like clear spring. It is mainly used for salivation on the tongue, so it is named Lianquan. 　

Treatment

Cold is tonifying, retaining needles or more moxibustion, heat is reducing needles and expelling Qi or water needles.
