Qixianling Hot Spring National Forest Park has unique hot springs, Qifeng, pastoral scenery and folk customs.

The highest temperature of hot spring is 95 ℃, which contains a variety of trace elements. The hot spring water belongs to sodium silicate bicarbonate type water, with a daily water yield of more than 3800 cubic meters. Hainan Qixianling Hot Spring National Forest Park is one of the few well preserved tropical rain forests in Hainan Island. In the forest park, the ancient trees are towering and the vines are interwoven. As of 2013, more than 500 kinds of rare plants have been identified, including Alsophila spinulosa, bird's Nest Fern, Saposhnikovia fortunei, etc. in the dinosaur era. The park also has rare precious trees in China, such as Huali, maternal, Zijing, Polei, Younan, Lu Junsong, etc. There is a concentrated community of Alsophila spinulosa about 700 meters away from the climbing stone plank road, with a pole height of more than 9 meters. Alsophila spinulosa is known as the "living fossil of plants" and is an ancient relict plant listed as first-class protection by the state.

There are a large number of higher plants in Qixianling, such as Orchidaceae, Araceae, pineappleaceae, lomonaceae and various ferns. There are also "strangling plants" in the park.

Animal resources

As of 2013, there are more than 500 kinds of wild animals in the park. There are thousands of Kunlun species, and endangered animals include Hainan gibbon, civet, golden turtle, giant lizard, dead leaf butterfly, etc. In addition, owls, wild boars, foxes and other animals live in the depths of the primitive rainforest of Qixianling all year round.

As of 2013, there are seven self fountains in Qixianling, with a daily water yield of more than 7000 tons and a maximum water temperature of 97 ℃. The water is rich in potassium, sodium, calcium, ammonium, magnesium, iron, iodine, bromine, fluorine and other minerals and trace elements, as well as a certain amount of radioactive elements ammonia and radium.

Qixianling hot spring is the only hot spring in China with a combination of Yexi hot spring and tropical rain forest. It is a semi-native hot spring group with good temperature protection and natural water spraying landscape.

Shina River

Shina river is located in the Qixianling scenic area in the northeast of Li Zhou Miao Autonomous County of Baoting. It is composed of two streams, one cold and the other hot.

Betel nut Garden

Located in Ganshiling at the junction of Baoting and Sanya City, Binlang garden is a National Nature Reserve, about 49 km away from Qixianling hot spring resort and 28 km away from Sanya City.

Development and construction

Infrastructure

As of 2013, there are four small hotels in the park, with a total number of beds of about 175, and general service facilities. The cement road from Lingshui to Baoting has been opened. The cement road from Baocheng to the park is about 6 meters wide and has two lanes. The road connects the four hotels in the park, but the roads in other scenic spots are still dirt roads or pedestrian mountain roads. The scenic spot has 2300 meters of climbing stone plank plank path with a total of 3770 steps, and 850 meters of wooden sightseeing plank path. At the end of the stone plank road, there is a climbing stone wall about 80 meters long with auxiliary cables.

After crossing Qiongzhou Strait from Hai'an, Guangdong self driving tourists can go southward from Haikou and take the East Expressway. There are signs in Lingshui County (about 200 kilometers of Expressway). Get off the expressway and walk for more than 40 kilometers to Baoting county. Then walk nine kilometers from Baocheng to Qixianling hot spring area.

If you go northward from Sanya, you can take the East Expressway first and go to Baoting, about 60 km.

History and Humanities

It is said that a long time ago, there lived a Li couple in Qixianling. They worked hard but had no children. One night, his wife dreamed that two flashing lights landed beside him. Soon, his wife was pregnant. His wife gave birth to two sons, named Xingyi and Xinger. The two sons grew up quickly, and the family lived happily, but one thing bothered them. Every time there is a strong wind in fengmenling, northwest of their home, the thatched cottage will be toppled. They decided to build a ridge to keep out the wind, and to build half of Xingyi and Xinger. Soon, two thick and strong mountains were built, and the Li people were no longer disturbed by the strong wind. One day, the old man asked his two sons who built the windbreak ridge. The old man told them to shoot at each other's ridge with steel arrows. Xingyi first shot at Tuling in the West. He took an arrow, drew a bow, and aimed at Tuling. Tuling's waist was broken, and the rest of the lower part became an anvil. Xinger fired six arrows at Dongling in succession, and six cracks appeared in the six arrows, which made Dongling show seven stone peaks. Xiling is like a chopping board, but hard as iron, so it is named "tiezhenling". Dongling has seven peaks, which are like palm fingers, so it is named "Qixianling".
