The kiln sites of Tang and Song dynasties are superimposed on the Ciyao site, which belongs to the late Neolithic age, about 6000-4000 years ago. There are two kiln sites in the Tang and Song Dynasties: Hedong District is 200 meters long from north to South and 200 meters wide from east to west; Hexi District is 300 meters long from north to South and 200 meters wide from east to west. There are a large number of black, white, green, tawny and other porcelain fragments, some of which are 1 meter thick. Most of the utensils are pots, bowls, pots and other domestic porcelain. There are also a small number of white glazed green spot specimens and rare white glazed red spot specimens. "The history of Chinese ceramics" records that the Tang and song kilns in Ciyao village of Jiaocheng said: "the history of Chinese ceramics Jiaocheng, Shanxi Province, is one of the ancient kilns of Tang and Song Dynasties newly discovered in Shanxi Province in recent years. Many black glazed spot waist drum specimens were also found in the Tang Dynasty sites, but slightly different from the former two kilns (referring to duandian in Lushan, Henan Province and xiabaiyu in Yuxian County), Jiaocheng kiln waist drum is smaller in shape, thinner in shape, with obvious pen marks on the spot. " The discovery of Jiaocheng kiln waist drum provides important information for the research on the origin of flower porcelain waist drum in Tang Dynasty.
