Daxing Temple
Located on songyun mountain, it was built in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty. It was originally named songyun nunnery. On the seventh day of the first month of the 17th year of Daoguang (1837), the nunnery was completely destroyed. After Hongjiang ten hall and Buddhist believers donated money to build songyun Daxing temple. The temple is magnificent and full of gold. There are three entrances: the first is the Weituo hall, which is dedicated to Guansheng emperor; the second is the Daxiong hall, which is dedicated to the Buddha; the third is the ancestral hall, which is dedicated to the ancestors. History Introduction
In the third year of Yuanyou (1088) of the Northern Song Dynasty, monk Huiguang built a shed on dahongpo of songyun mountain, which was the beginning of the introduction of Buddhism into Hongjiang. It is said that monk Huiguang accompanied the tiger in Baihu cave. After nine years of cultivation in mianbi cave, he rode the tiger and followed the cloud to the West. In the third year of Jiaxi (1239) of the Southern Song Dynasty, monk Yuanru and his disciples built the old temple (songyun Temple) under the Lingfeng mountain, which is the predecessor of today's Miaoyin temple.
