Weidun park is located on the west side of Weidun Neolithic site in Qishuyan District, Changzhou. It was built in August 1988. The park covers an area of 13.33 hectares, including 5.33 hectares of water area. It not only highlights the characteristics of classical architecture in Ming and Qing Dynasties, but also reflects the flavor of Jiangnan Water Town. In the park, 18 buildings, including bridges, corridors, pavilions, pavilions and wharves, are inlaid around the lake. The vast blue waves in the lake, and the 60 meter long 17 hole stone bridge lying in the lake, are perfect and unique. Weidun site nearby is the earliest village site of primitive society in Changzhou. It covers an area of about 200000 square meters from 5000 to 6000 years ago. It belongs to Majiabang culture and has rich connotations. It is an important Neolithic site in Taihu Lake Basin. The site was discovered in 1960. After 1972, it was excavated three times. Nearly 700 pieces of production tools, daily utensils and decorations, and more than 50000 pieces of various pottery pieces were unearthed. In addition, a large number of carbonized rice grains were unearthed, which became valuable information for studying the origin of rice cultivation in Taihu Lake Basin.

It is understood that the purpose of the reconstruction and expansion project is to protect historical sites and highlight cultural characteristics. The Weidun Ruins Museum, which reproduces the Weidun civilization more than 6000 years ago, is a highlight of the whole park. Weidun site museum takes "the first village in Changzhou" as the exhibition theme, which organically classifies the culture of Weidun site, and designs different exhibition spaces according to different classifications. From the land into the water, and then to the underground, to multi-dimensional landscape space interpretation of different cultural atmosphere. Through sculpture combination, structural section landscaping, two-dimensional background combined with dynamic projection picture and other techniques, it reproduces the living environment of Weidun people, the buildings they live in, the utensils they live with, the scenes they eat together and the archaeological excavation site of Weidun site.
The design, construction and layout of the museum are all implemented by Zhejiang University, which specializes in Majiabang culture.
After the opening of Weidun Ruins Museum, various kinds of popular science publicity activities will be held from time to time to let more people understand the history and civilization of Weidun. During the trial operation, Weidun site museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9:00 to 16:00 every day, and closed on Monday. Citizens can take bus No. 8 (Cultural Palace), No. 7 and No. 63 from the railway station to visit Weidun Ruins Museum.
Reconstruction of scenic spots
On July 27, 2009, the Weidun Ruins Park (phase I and phase II), which reproduces the features of the first village in Changzhou more than 6000 years ago, was officially opened to the general public free of charge after a year of reconstruction and expansion.

The park combines the advantages of various famous gardens, highlights the characteristics of classical architecture in Ming and Qing Dynasties, and reflects the charm of water town in the south of the Yangtze River. There are 18 buildings in the park, including bridges, corridors, pavilions, pavilions and wharves, which are well arranged around the lake.
The lake is vast with blue waves, and the pavilion in the center of the lake is connected with the Jiuqu bridge, which goes straight into the lake. The 17 hole stone bridge, which is 60 meters long, lies in the lake perfectly.
Weidun site nearby is the earliest village site of primitive society in Changzhou area. It covers an area of about 200000 square meters from 5000 to 6000 years ago. It belongs to Majiabang culture and has rich connotations. It is an important Neolithic site in Taihu Lake Basin.
