This tower is a pavilion style brick and wood structure, which is the architectural characteristics of Tang and Song dynasties. It has a rigorous structure and is magnificent. The tower has nine outer layers and seventeen inner layers. The shape of the tower is octagonal. There are wind bells hanging from the eaves of the tower on each floor. If the wind blows, the bell will sound jingle jingle. Chongxi tower inherits the tower style of Tang and Song Dynasties, and has the architectural characteristics of Ming Dynasty.
The exterior proportion of the ancient pagoda is even and harmonious. The eaves of each layer are covered with green glazed tiles. Wind bells are hung at the eaves corner. The bell is loud and melodious. There are niches from the bottom to the fifth layer in the pagoda cavity. In the past, clay Buddha statues were worshipped in the niches. Enter the tower from the Qianqing gate, ascend the tower step by step, and hover left and right. When you reach the flat seat, you can have a panoramic view of the surrounding scenery.
