Wing Lee Street is a street in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. It is located to the south of Billies street in the south of Sheung Wan. It runs East-West between staircase street and Shing Wong Street. It is famous for retaining the characteristics of Hong Kong in the 1960s. The Berlin Film Festival award-winning Hong Kong film "the thief of time" was also shot here. Yongli street is a back street on the opposite side of biliezhi street. The east end of Yongli Street leads to Chenghuang street, while the west end is zuotou road. Looking to the west, it is a hillside on the opposite side of the primary school of the students' Association of the king's college. A few big trees grow naturally. The authorities have developed it as a rest area with two or three street lights. Yongli street is narrow and crooked, so in the past, only Yongli Street residents came in and out, and a few second-hand wooden chairs were placed on the street for chatting. Children could meet to hide and seek in the street. Now most of the visitors are Longyou, and there is a famous Japanese photo actress.
As there is no driveway, you need to climb up the stairs to find Yongli street. On the stairs, a few housewives stand and chat, leisurely; not far away, the old man with presbyopia glasses sits at the door of the shop and lowers his head to read the newspaper; occasionally, the old man who has immigrated for many years comes here to pace and travel in his childhood memory. Human feelings linger in the vicissitudes of the Tang Dynasty buildings. The buildings with different heights, old and new, tell the story of the interdependence between people and streets in the past.
Central is the heart of Hong Kong. With the development of the city, many old districts and markets give way to high-rise buildings. The old urban area in the middle and upper ring area, however, has gradually returned to the local flavor from the commercial smoke. It is a rare place to experience old Hong Kong. The most authentic flavor of life in Hong Kong spreads quietly in these winding streets built on the mountains.

One of the characteristics of Yongli street is "Tang Lou", which has 12 buildings in total. Tanglou is an architectural style in South China from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century. The earliest Tang Dynasty buildings in Hong Kong were all built of green bricks with sloping roofs of wood and tiles. The first floor of Tang tower is usually a shop, while the upper floor is a residential building. The Luoji shoe shop in the movie "time steal" is the original style of Tang house.
"Taiwan" is a major feature of Hong Kong Island architecture. In the old days, many buildings on Hong Kong Island were built on the basis of mountains. Because of the different styles of buildings built on the terrain, the "terrace" was opened up. There is a public space in front of the building for people to stay and get together, forming a close neighborhood relationship. The 12 Old Tang buildings on Yongli street stand on the platform, retaining the features of the old urban area in the 1950s and 1960s. It is said that they are unique in Hong Kong.
"These tanglou groups remain intact, reflecting the cohesion of the community and the intimate relationship between people and the streets in those days," said he Yaosheng, a neighbor who has lived in the district for 30 years. As he walked, he warmly led the reporter and recalled the past when the neighbors in the district exchanged and cared for each other. In the past, the neighbors took a cool and chatting here, while the surrounding houses were mostly front shops and back houses, which were very lively. He said that this is still a living community. After the demolition and "activation" in the future, it may lose its original flavor. He hoped that the government would comprehensively and sustainably develop the old community and "give more care to Hong Kong".
Walking through the streets every day is full of fun. Even if you go to the same place, there are many different ways to go, and you can make new discoveries by going each way. Walking through these alleys, whether it's visiting an old silversmith or a printer, or touching a stray cat, you can breathe the unique flavor of the area. The feeling of participating in it is really wonderful.

Decades ago, Wing Lee Street and several nearby streets witnessed the glorious years of Hong Kong's printing industry. In the old days, there were printing shops everywhere, printing office documents and cards for the office buildings in the central business center. A printing shop that has been in operation for more than 40 years is still in operation. The old printing press and obsolete printing type are preserved in the shop. The figure of the previous generation's hard work is vividly remembered.
Yongli street and its nearby streets are the places for many famous Hong Kong films. Luo Qirui, the director of the movie "time steal", thinks that it is a local feature that really moves people. As Wing Lee Street has been included in the Urban Renewal Authority's redevelopment project, it is planned to retain three Tang buildings and the rest will be redeveloped into residential buildings. Luo Qirui describes this street as the only place in Hong Kong that retains the characteristics of the 1960s. He hopes to preserve the original appearance of the street.
Reasonable preservation of community is not only for a film, but also for inheriting characteristic culture and historical landscape. The city will eventually develop. The contradiction between tradition and future is always intertwined in the story of the city. The old streets and alleys have quietly branded the memories of the city that can not be stolen by the years.
As there is no driveway, you need to climb up the stairs to find Yongli street. For free riders, it seems difficult to find Wynn street alone. It is close to the antique street of Hollywood Road in central. You can ask the shop owners about it. If you find the "path of Sun Yat Sen's deeds", you will come to biliezhi street. Then go up the stairs, and a narrow street on the right is Yongli street.
