historical background
In 1713, in order to celebrate Emperor Kangxi's 60th birthday, Mongolian princes wrote "please play" to build a temple outside Chengde summer resort to celebrate his 60th birthday. Emperor Kangxi was glad to "grant" and built two temples, namely, Puren temple and Pushan temple. Pushan temple had long been abandoned, and it became the only temple in Kangxi period. Pu Tongpu, universal, broad meaning, the emperor's deep benevolence, universal meaning.
Layout structure
The architectural form of Puren temple is the "Jialan Qitang" type of Han temple, surrounded by a retaining ring. There are three main halls on the main axis of the Mountain Gate: Tianwang hall, Ciyun Puyin hall and baoxiangchang new hall. There are six Buddha statues in the temple: Maitreya Buddha, Wei Tuo Tianjiang and four heavenly kings. Ciyun Puyin hall, single eaves rest peak, painted with gold, carved beams and painted buildings, dazzling. Inside the hall are the past Buddha, the present Buddha, the Sakyamuni Buddha and the future Buddha Maitreya Buddha.
